The Berks & Bucks Football Association is the County Football Association for Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. It is responsible for the development of association football in the two historic counties. [3] It organises cup competitions between affiliated football clubs and the selects two representative teams. It was formed in 1878, with the first president and driving force being Mr J H Clark from Maidenhead.

The Berks & Bucks FA's administrative headquarters are in Abingdon, [1] Berkshire's traditional county town. It is affiliated to England's national football association: the Football Association.

Cup competitions

Affiliate leagues

Six leagues in the English football league pyramid are affiliated to the Berks & Bucks FA, all of whose top levels sit just below the bottom of the Football Association's National League System, which covers the fifth to eleventh tiers of football in England. The leagues are self-governing and some members are registered with another county football association. The four leagues are: [6]

Other affiliated men's 11-a-side leagues are the Aylesbury & District League, the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League, the Chesham Sunday League, the Chiltern Church League, the Grant & Stone High Wycombe Sunday Combination, the Milton Keynes Sunday League, the Newbury & District Sunday League, the Reading & District Sunday League, the Upper Thames Valley League.

In the women's game in England, the Thames Valley Women's Football League's three divisions, which belong in the sixth and seventh tiers of the league pyramid, are the only competitions in the pyramid which are affiliated to the Berks & Bucks FA.

A number of small-sided, women's football and youth football leagues are also affiliates.

The Berks & Bucks FA County Senior Cup is the Senior County Cup competition of the Berks & Bucks FA and was first played in 1878/79; a time when the FA Cup had only been going for seven years, there was no Football League, and most countries in the world did not have any competitions at all.

Reading F.C. Women Football club

Reading Football Club Women is an English women's football club affiliated with Reading FC. The Club plays in the Women's Super League, the top flight of English women's football. Reading F.C. Women previously played in the FA Women's Premier League National Division after being promoted from the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division, which they were relegated to at the end of the 2011–12 season. They had previously won promotion to the National Division from the Southern Division in 2009–10. They gained entry to an expanded FA WSL in 2014.

Deanshanger Athletic Football Club is an amateur football club based in Deanshanger, on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. Founded in 1946, the club is affiliated to the Northamptonshire Football Association. They are currently members of the North Bucks & District League Division One and play at Folly Road.

The Buckinghamshire Rugby Football Union is the governing body for the sport of rugby union in the county of Buckinghamshire in England. The union is the constituent body of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) for Buckinghamshire, and administers and organises rugby union clubs and competitions in the county. It also administers the Buckinghamshire county rugby representative teams. The union was founded at a meeting at High Wycombe on 16 July 1949 during a drinking session at one of the founders house.

The 2019–20 season was Wycombe Wanderers' 133rd season in existence and their 27th consecutive season in the Football League. This was the club's second consecutive season in EFL League One. The club earned promotion to the EFL Championship on 13 July 2020, beating Oxford United 2–1 in the 2020 EFL League One play-off Final at Wembley Stadium.
