The Northamptonshire Football Association, also simply known as the Northamptonshire FA, is the governing body of football in the English county of Northamptonshire. [1]

Organisation

The purpose of the Northamptonshire FA is to lead the successful development of football within the county and to increase the participation, quality and enjoyment of football.

The Northamptonshire FA's strategy sets out the vision, key priorities and targets for investment into grassroots football from 1 July 2008 until 30 June 2012. The strategy contributes to the delivery of The FA's National Game Strategy over a four-year period.

The Northamptonshire FA football development team provide support and guidance to aid development in the game, whatever an organisation or person's role may be. Whereas the football governance team are involved in the day to day running of key areas such as the administration of clubs, leagues and referees along with the running of the discipline process, county competitions and the representative teams. Northamptonshire Cup

The Northamptonshire Cup (known as The Maunsell Cup) is a county cup competition involving senior teams affiliated to the Northamptonshire Football Association.

The Northamptonshire Senior Cup (renamed The Hillier Senior Cup in 1981) is a county cup competition involving senior teams affiliated to the Northamptonshire Football Association.

The NFA Hillier Senior Cup is a football knockout tournament involving teams from Northamptonshire, England and the surrounding area. It is a County Cup competition of the Northamptonshire Football Association and involves senior non-league teams. It has been contested annually since 1883. Kettering Town have won the cup the most times, lifting the trophy on 31 occasions. The current champions are Peterborough Sports, who beat Cogenhoe United in the final in April 2023.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">AFC Rushden & Diamonds</span> Association football club in England

A.F.C. Rushden & Diamonds is an English football club based in Rushden in Northamptonshire. They played their opening season at Kiln Park, the home of Raunds Town, in 2011–12 and subsequently shared the Dog & Duck ground with Wellingborough Town from July 2012 to the summer of 2017. A groundshare agreement with Rushden & Higham United was agreed for the 2017–18 season. The club was formed by supporters in July 2011, after Rushden & Diamonds, a former Football League club, were expelled from the Football Conference and liquidated.

The East Midlands Rugby Football Union (EMRFU) is a governing body for rugby union in part of The Midlands, England. The union is the constituent body of the Rugby Football Union for the counties of Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire and the Huntingdonshire and Peterborough districts of Cambridgeshire and administers and organises rugby union clubs and competitions in those areas. It also administers the East Midlands county rugby representative teams.
