The Isle of Man Football Association, also simply known as the Isle of Man FA or the IOMFA, is the body that co-ordinates and organises the sport of football on the Isle of Man. Although, as a Crown Dependency, the Isle of Man is not a part of the United Kingdom, the local FA is affiliated with the English FA, and acts as a County Football Association. [2]
The organisation runs the Isle of Man national football team (which competes in the Island Games), the Isle of Man league representative XI (which competes in the FA National League System Cup) and the Isle of Man Football League, the main league competition on the island.
In October 2008 Onchan became the eleventh IOMFA club to achieve The Football Association Charter Standard status, the FA's kitemark scheme for quality assurance. The IOMFA now has set a target of becoming the first County FA to have every associate club achieving the standard. [3]

Onchan is a village in the parish of Onchan on the Isle of Man. It is at the north end of Douglas Bay. Administratively a district, it has the second largest population of settlements on the island, after Douglas, with which it forms a conurbation.
The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing. The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues at different levels, allowing even the smallest club the theoretical possibility of ultimately rising to the very top of the system. There are more than 140 individual leagues, containing more than 480 divisions.

Gymnasium F.C. are a football club from Douglas on the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League. They wear a blue and white striped shirt, black shorts, black socks and play their home games at Tromode Park in Douglas.
Onchan Association Football Club are a football club from Onchan on the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League and wear a yellow and blue kit. They play their home games at the Nivison Stadium in Onchan.
St Georges A.F.C. are a football club from Douglas on the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League and they play in amber and black kits. They play their home games at Glencrutchery Road in Douglas. They have won the top division of Manx football 20 times, including the inaugural Premier League in 2007–08. They have won the Manx FA Cup eight times.
Union Mills F.C. are a football club from Union Mills in the parish of Braddan on the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League Division Two. They wear a claret and sky blue kit and play their home games at Garey Mooar.
The Isle of Man Representative County football team is the IOMFA football team of the Isle of Man and is controlled by the Isle of Man Football Association. The team plays in a yellow and red home kit and an all navy blue away kit.
Staines Lammas Football Club is a football club based in the town of Staines-upon-Thames. The club is affiliated to the Middlesex County Football Association. They play in the Surrey Elite Intermediate League.
Portland United Football Club is a football club based on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, England. In the 2015–16 season, they are members of the Wessex League Premier Division. The club is affiliated to the Dorset County Football Association and is a FA chartered Standard club. Their nickname is "The Blues"
Hassocks Football Club is a football club based in Hassocks, near Brighton, West Sussex, England. The club is affiliated to the Sussex County Football Association. The club joined the Sussex County League Division Two in 1981 and has reached the 2nd round of the FA Vase three times in its history, and the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup in 2001–02. They are currently members of the Southern Combination Premier Division and play at the Beacon.
For a small country, sport in the Isle of Man plays an important part in making the island known to the wider world. The principal international sporting event held on the island is the annual Isle of Man TT motorcycling event. However, the Isle of Man is represented internationally in a number of other sports at the Commonwealth Games and the Island Games.
The King George V Bowl is a multi-use stadium in Douglas, Isle of Man, and the home of F.C. Isle of Man. With a capacity of approximately 3,000 seats, a third of which are under cover, and a viewing platform for disabled users, it is the largest stadium on the Island. The Bowl also serves as the home of the Isle of Man Football Association, Isle of Man official football team and Ellan Vannin football team.
Vale Recreation F.C. is a football club which was formed in 1932 by Wilfred J. Corbet and is based in the Channel Island of Guernsey.

The Isle of Man Division 2 is the second division of the Isle of Man Football League and the second highest in the Isle of Man Football League System. The winners and the runners-up of division 2 get promoted to the Isle of Man Premier League, with the two bottom football clubs from the Premier League relegated to division 2. The league is overseen by the Isle of Man Football Association.
