Beside Myself is the fourth studio album by English alternative rock band Basement. It was released on 12 October 2018 and is their first and only album to be released by Fueled by Ramen. The album was co-produced by Colin Brittain and the band themselves, engineered by Alex Prieto, and was mixed by Rich Costey. [2]

Release

In May, the group embarked on a co-headlining US tour with Citizen; they were supported by Pronoun and Souvenirs. [3] On 1 August, Beside Myself was announced for release in October. [4] Alongside this, "Disconnect" was released as its lead single; [5] its accompanying music video was directed by Adam Powell. [6] A second single, "Stigmata", was released on 7 September. [7] A third single, "Be Here Now", was premiered on Billboard's website on 2 October 2018. [8] On 11 October, a music video was released for the track, [9] directed by Mason Mercer. [10]

Beside Myself was released on 12 October through Fueled by Ramen. [4] Following this, the band went on a two-week US tour, [7] with support from Elder Brother and Pllush. [11] In November, they went on a headlining UK tour, with support from Joyce Manor. [12] In April 2019, "Be Here Now" was released on 7" vinyl, with the outtake "Are You the One" as the B-side, as part of Record Store Day. [13] During this month, the band went on an Australian tour with the Story So Far. Following this, the group went on a US tour with Nothing, Gouge Away and Teenage Wrist. [14]

The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch is the debut studio album by American rock band Cute Is What We Aim For. Following the band's formation in early 2005, they posted demos on Myspace and PureVolume. These demos soon garnered attention from record labels. After a period of time, the group received a call from major label Fueled by Ramen founder John Janick, who signed the band in November. In February 2006, the band began recording The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch with producer Matt Squire at Salad Days Studios in Beltsville, Maryland. During the album sessions, several of the demos the band had previously posted had been re-recorded. Prior to the album's release, "The Curse of Curves" was made available for streaming in March. Following the song's availability, the band went on a couple of tours in the U.S.
