Steve Grimmett is a heavy metal vocalist who began his career in the era of new wave of British heavy metal. His original band was the short-lived Medusa, before he became known as the lead vocalist for Grim Reaper. Grimmett later featured in Onslaught for a brief period, before forming Lionsheart and in more recent times, The Steve Grimmett Band and GrimmStine.

In Search of Sanity is the third studio album by English thrash metal band Onslaught, released in 1989. This album was originally recorded with Sy Keeler, but London Records were not impressed with the final product from a commercial point of view and enforced a re-mix and a complete re-recording of the vocals by Grim Reaper frontman Steve Grimmett, being the only album featuring him. It features their longest song to date "Welcome to Dying". The album contains a more polished sound than previous Onslaught albums, meeting mixed reviews by their fans. Despite this, In Search of Sanity was moderately successful, peaking at #46 on the UK charts while the single "Let There Be Rock" peaked at #50 in that country. It was also Onslaught's last album before disbanding in 1991, only to reform in 2004 and the release of their fourth album Killing Peace in 2007.

Whitechapel is an American deathcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee. The band is named after the Whitechapel district in East London, England, referencing the series of murders committed by Jack the Ripper. The group comprises vocalist Phil Bozeman, guitarists Ben Savage, Alex Wade, and Zach Householder, and bassist Gabe Crisp. Founded in 2006 by Bozeman and Savage, the band has released six studio albums, eleven music videos and are currently signed to Metal Blade Records. Whitechapel's 2010 album A New Era of Corruption, sold around 10,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release and debuted at position No. 43 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band's self-titled fourth album was released on June 19, 2012 and debuted at No. 47 on the Billboard 200, selling roughly 9,200 copies in its first week. In 2014 the band released their fifth full-length album, Our Endless War to generally positive reviews. The album sold roughly 16,000 copies in its first week and debuted at no. 10 on the Billboard 200. American heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch (5FDP) has released seven studio albums, one live album, one compilation album, one extended play (EP), 28 singles and 20 music videos. Formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2005, the group features vocalist Ivan Moody, rhythm guitarist Zoltan Bathory, lead guitarist Jason Hook, and bassist Chris Kael. In 2007, the band released its debut album The Way of the Fist, which reached number 107 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). All three singles from the album reached the top 20 of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart. After Hook replaced previous guitarist Darrell Roberts, 5FDP released War Is the Answer in 2009 which reached the top ten of the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Four singles from the album reached the Mainstream Rock top ten, while the band's cover of "Bad Company" was certified platinum.

"Heart Is a Drum" is a song by American rock musician Beck. It was released on July 24, 2014 as the fourth and final single from his ninth official studio album, Morning Phase. The song peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. Beck performed the song at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards alongside Coldplay band member Chris Martin.
