Bethan Dyke (born 25 December 1994) is a Welsh netball player who plays for Wales in the position of center and wing attack. [1] [2]

Career

Dyke has played for Wales representative clubs Cardiff Dragons and Severn Stars in Netball Superleague. [3] She was a key member of the Celtic Dragons which emerged as runners-up to Team Bath in the 2013 Netball Superleague Grand Final. She made her Commonwealth Games debut representing Wales at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, where Wales finished at eighth position in the women's netball tournament. [4] [5] She was included in the Wales squad for the 2015 Netball World Cup, which eventually marked her debut appearance in a World Cup tournament. She was named in the Wales squad to face off against New Zealand in a home test series in 2017 and it also marked New Zealand's first visit to Wales to play an international series after a gap of 20 years. [6]

She sustained a serious knee injury concern in 2018 and was ruled out of action for around nine months. [7] She represented Wales at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and competed in the women's netball competition. [8] She was signed by Sevens Stars ahead of the 2020 Netball Superleague season. [9] In April 2021, she was ruled out from the remainder of the 2021 Netball Superleague season due to an Anterior cruciate ligament injury which she suffered during the first quarter of a group stage match against Celtic Dragons. [10] [11] [7] However, she was included in the Wales senior international squad for the year 2021 despite not fully recovering from the ankle injury which she sustained during the Superleague season. She was also named in Welsh netball squad for the women's netball tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She was included in the Welsh squad for the 2023 Netball World Cup, which was her second appearance at a Netball World Cup tournament. [14] [15] She was signed by Team Bath ahead of the 2023 Netball Superleague season and she was retained by Team Bath for the 2024 season. [16] [17]

Jade Bridget Clarke is an English netball player. Primarily a midcourt defender, Clarke was selected for the England national netball team in 2002, making her senior debut the following year against New Zealand. During her international career, she has competed at six Netball World Cups/Championships, four Commonwealth Games, and the 2009 and 2011 World Netball Series.

Stacey Francis-Bayman is a former England netball international. She was a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. At club level she has played for both Team Bath and Yorkshire Jets in the Netball Superleague, for Canterbury Tactix in the ANZ Championship and for West Coast Fever in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2005–06 and 2013 she was a prominent member of the Team Bath squad as they won five Superleague titles. She played in the 2010 and 2013 grand finals and in both 2011 and 2013 she was named the Netball Superleague Player of the Season. Beth Cobden is an England netball international. She was a member of the England teams that won gold medals at the 2017 Fast5 Netball World Series and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. At club level, she was a member of the Northern Thunder/Manchester Thunder teams that won Netball Superleague titles in 2012 and 2014. She also played in two grand finals for Loughborough Lightning which won their first ever Superleague title in 2021. In 2019 she signed for Adelaide Thunderbirds of Suncorp Super Netball.

Chelsea Lewis is a Wales netball international. She represented Wales at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups and at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was also a member of the Wales teams that won the 2010 Netball Singapore Nations Cup and the 2013 and 2014 European Netball Championships. At club level she has played for Celtic Dragons and Team Bath in the Netball Superleague.

Natalie Metcalf is an English netball player. She was part of the England squad that won gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games In 2022, she was announced as England captain.

Phumza Maweni is a South African netball player in the Netball Superleague in the UK, representing Team Bath Netball.

Claire Maxwell, also known as Claire Brownie, is a Scotland netball international. She captained Scotland at both the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2019 Netball World Cup. She also represented Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Netball World Cup. At club level, she has played for Glasgow Wildcats, Team Bath and Sirens in the Netball Superleague and for Team Northumbria and Loughborough Lightning in the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship.

Fionnuala Toner is a Northern Ireland netball international. She represented Northern Ireland at the 2011 and 2019 Netball World Cups and at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was also a member of the Northern Ireland team that were silver medallists at the 2017 European Netball Championships. She has played in the Netball Superleague for Team Northumbria, London Pulse and Team Bath. Toner is also an Ireland women's basketball international. Her younger sister, Máire Toner, is also a Northern Ireland netball international.

Sigrid Burger also simply known as Sigi Burger is a South African netball player who plays in the positions of goal shooter. UK She was also part of the South African squad which finished at fourth position at the 2019 Netball World Cup.

The 2021 Netball Superleague season was the sixteenth season of the Netball Superleague, the elite domestic netball competition in the United Kingdom. The season started on 12 February 2021. Manchester Thunder were the defending champions, as they won the 2019 season and the 2020 season was cancelled after three rounds due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the ongoing pandemic, the first nine weeks of matches were held at Studio 001 in Wakefield, and the remaining matches were held at the Copper Box Arena in London. All matches were originally scheduled to be held behind closed doors, though from week 17 onwards, limited numbers of fans were permitted into matches, due to a change in the UK Government guidelines.

Malysha Kelly is a Jamaican netball player, who has made over 50 appearances for the national side, and is a former captain. At club level, she most recently played for Severn Stars in the Netball Superleague.

Lefébre Rademan is a South African netball player, who has represented the national team. Sophie Drakeford-Lewis is an English netball player who plays for Surrey Storm and has represented the national team. As a youngster, Drakeford-Lewis played tennis, and she was at one time the highest ranked Briton at under-16 and under-18 level.

Laura Malcolm is an English netball player who has been a co-captain of the national team. At club level, she plays for Mainland Tactix in the ANZ Premiership, and has previously played for Netball Superleague teams Manchester Thunder and Severn Stars.

Imogen Allison is an English netball player, who has represented the national side since 2020. At club level, she is the captain of Team Bath and has previously played for Yorkshire Jets.
