Netball was one of the ten core sports at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which was held on the Gold Coast in Australia. This was the sixth staging of netball at the Commonwealth Games since its inclusion in 1998, and the second time the netball event was held in Australia.
The competition took place between 5 and 15 April 2018. [1] Preliminary matches were held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, with finals matches held at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre. A total of 144 athletes from 12 nations participated in the tournament. [2] [3]

All matches for the netball event were held in the host city.
Preliminary matches were played at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, which has a seating capacity of 5,000. The venue also hosted basketball matches and was the Main Media Centre for the Games. [5]
Finals matches were played at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, which opened in 2016 and has a seating capacity of 7,500. It also hosted some gymnastics events for the Games. [6]

The 2018 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXI Commonwealth Games and also known as Gold Coast 2018, were an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth that was held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, between 4 and 15 April 2018. It was the fifth time Australia had hosted the Commonwealth Games and the first time a major multi-sport had an equal number of events for male and female athletes.
Basketball at the Commonwealth Games has been held three times, with regular full-court basketball included in 2006 and 2018, and 3x3 introduced in 2022.

Rugby sevens at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held on the Gold Coast, Australia from April 13 to 15. The rugby sevens competition was held at Robina Stadium. This is the sixth time that the men's competition was held, following rugby sevens's debut at the 1998 Games, with women's rugby sevens making its debut after the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. A total of sixteen men's and eight women's teams are scheduled to compete in each respective tournament.
New Zealand competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, from 4 to 15 April 2018. It was the nations's 21st appearance at the Commonwealth Games, having competed at every Games since their inception in 1930. The New Zealand team consisted of 251 athletes, 130 men and 121 women, across 17 sports.
