Michelle Wright is a Canadian country music artist. She is one of the country's most widely recognized and awarded female country singers of the 1990s, winning the Canadian Country Music Association's Fans' Choice Award twice. In 2011, Wright was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.
"Angel" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan. The song first appeared on Surfacing, the Canadian singer's 1997 album. The lyrics are about the death of Jonathan Melvoin (1961–1996), the Smashing Pumpkins' touring keyboard player, from a heroin overdose, as McLachlan explained on VH1 Storytellers. It is sometimes mistitled as "In the Arms of an Angel" or "Arms of the Angel".

"You've Got a Way" was included on the Come on Over Tour in a medley with two ballads from her second studio album, The Woman in Me. "You've Got a Way" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 42nd Grammy Awards. The song was not included in Twain's Greatest Hits package, released in 2004.
"Missing You" is a song co-written and recorded by English musician John Waite. It was released in June 1984 as the lead single from his second album, No Brakes. It reached #1 on Billboard's Album Rock Tracks and on the Hot 100 as well as #9 on the UK Singles Chart. "Missing You" was the only record from 1984 to spend only one week at the top of the Hot 100. "Hard Luck Woman" is a song by American hard rock band Kiss and the lead single from their 1976 album, Rock and Roll Over. It was originally written by Paul Stanley as a possible track for Rod Stewart, but after the success of the soft rock ballad "Beth", Kiss decided to keep it for themselves as a follow-up. Stanley has stated his admiration and love of Stewart's music numerous times, and that "Hard Luck Woman" was inspired by Rod Stewart, in particular the songs "Maggie May" and "You Wear It Well". While Stewart's music served as a partial inspiration for the song, the nautical themed song "Brandy" by American pop-rock band Looking Glass served as Stanley's main inspiration.

Radames agrees, on condition that she escapes to freedom on a boat he will provide. The two lovers lament the complication of the circumstances of their love together before parting. There are two different recordings of the song, one with Rimes performing the first verse, the other with John.

It was released in July 1999 as the first single from her album Emotion. McBride originally recorded "I Love You" for the 1999 film's soundtrack, Runaway Bride, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. The promotion the song got on the soundtrack is one of the reasons for its high chart performance. The single was then released on her upcoming album.
