Betty Blowtorch is an all-female American hard rock band from Southern California.

Biography

The band was formed in 1998 by three members of Butt Trumpet. [1] After releasing the 2001 album, Are You Man Enough?, the group toured with Nashville Pussy. [2] During the tour, drummer Judy Molish and guitarist Sharon Needles left the group; Jennifer Finch from L7 and drummer Dave Gara joined in their stead.

On December 15, 2001, lead singer and bassist Bianca Halstead (Butthole) was killed in a car crash while on tour in New Orleans. The remaining group members disbanded. [2] [3]

A collection of rarities and live performances was released as Last Call in 2003.[ citation needed ]

They are the focus of Antonia Scarpa's documentary film, Betty Blowtorch And Her Amazing True Life Adventures. [4]

In 2008–2009, Blare N. Bitch and Sharon Needles were both members of Los Angeles based bands, Psychostar and Suckerstar.[ citation needed ] Blare N. Bitch played guitar for an all-female Black Sabbath tribute band, Black Sabbitch while Sharon Needles and Judy Molish played in all-female AC/DC tribute band Hell's Belles.

All the original band members are currently playing shows with Mia X RockNRolla, who plays bass and lead vocals for Bianca. They are working on new music as of 2021.

Its success surprised the band when it sold 10,000 copies in under a year.

Tele Images Productions was a French television production company established in 2001 by Groupe Tele Images that produces children's television programs in animation and live-action. It has been part of Zodiak Kids Studios since 2015. It shut down in 2016, after Zodiak Kids merged with Banijay Group, who now owns the rights to the studio's entire catalogue.

Bianca Halstead, also known as Bianca Butthole, was an American rock musician, born in the Bronx, New York. She was the bassist and lead singer of the bands Betty Blowtorch and Butt Trumpet.

Humble Gods was a punk rock band from Hermosa Beach, California. Kottonmouth Kings' frontman Daddy X created the band. On October 17, 1995, the band released its debut self-titled album Humble Gods on WEA. The band had a number of members come and go throughout its career, including two untimely deaths. Daddy X is also the vocalist of the punk rock/hip-hop groups X-Pistols and Kottonmouth Kings, and former vocalist of the skate punk band Doggy Style. He also has a solo hip-hop career.
