The Rashtriya Janata Dal is an Indian political party,based in the states of Bihar,Jharkhand and Kerala. The party was founded in 1997 by Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs,Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party,nine-times Lok Sabha member and two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He started his political career as member of Samyukta Socialist Party and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969. Later,Paswan joined Lok Dal upon its formation in 1974,and became its general secretary. He opposed the emergency,and was arrested during this period. He first entered the Lok Sabha in 1977,as a Janata Party member from Hajipur constituency,and was elected again in 1980,1989,1991,1996,1998,1999,2004 and 2014.
Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) is a political party based primarily in the Indian state of Haryana. It was initially founded as the Haryana Lok Dal (Rashtriya) by Devi Lal in 1996,who served as the Deputy Prime Minister of India.
Although India is a parliamentary democracy,the country's politics has become dynastic or with high level of nepotism,possibly due to the absence of party organizations,independent civil-society associations which mobilize support for a party,or centralized financing of elections. The dynastic phenomenon is present at the national,state,regional,and district level. Meira Kumar is an Indian politician and former diplomat. A member of the Indian National Congress,she was the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment from 2004 to 2009,the Minister of Water Resources for a brief period in 2009. She served as the 15th Speaker of Lok Sabha from 2009 to 2014,being the first woman to hold the post. Kumar became just the second woman to be nominated for president of India by a major political block when she secured the United Progressive Alliance's nomination in 2017.

Ram Kripal Yadav is an Indian politician and a member of the 17th Lok Sabha from the Pataliputra parliamentary constituency in Bihar. He was a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal and was a close confidant of Lalu Yadav. Later he joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He was first a mayor in Bihar,and later the Minister of State for Rural Development in central cabinet in Delhi from 2014 to 2019.

Ram Narayan Sharma /Ram Narain Sharma was a freedom fighter from Dhanbad district,Jharkhand. His father’s name was Lt. Chandramauli Sharma and his wife's name was Bhagmati Devi. He was born in Sarain-bux village,post office Garkha,district Saran,Bihar. He was born on 31st August 1915. After the death of his first wife,he married Sundar Pati Devi. He came to Dhanbad in 1938. He has sons namely Narendra Kumar Sharma,Ravindra Kumar Sharma,Devendra Sharma,and Jitendra Sharma,and daughters namely,Lt. Sushila Thakur,Urmila Sharma,and Lilawati Singh. He was MLA for five terms. He also worked for a trade union. He had participated in the 1942 Quit India Movement and due to this he was arrested and sent to jail for three years. He was released from jail on 30th August 1945. From 1941-to 45 he participated in individual satyagraha,satyagraha,and other mass movements and for these activities,he was in jail for three and half years. He was General Secretary,Dhanbad District Congress. He was a member of Bihar P.C.C.,President of INTUC Working Committee,Bokaro Steel Workers’Union,and Vice President. He attended the ILO Coal Committee meeting at Pitsburg in 1949,represented Indian Miners at International Miners Federation’s Annual Conference held in Stockholm in 1960,and also participated in Trade Union Seminar in Denmark in 1965. In 1971 he was elected as Lok Sabha Member. He was also involved in social activities such as being a member of the District Development Committee,Dhanbad and Governing Council of Sindri College,President of Gram Dan Pragati Samiti,Dhanbad,and was associated with the cooperative movement in the Dhanbad district. He was interested in volleyball,tennis,and swimming. He died on 11th April 1985.
Purnmasi Ram is an Indian politician. He was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly consecutively five times from 1990. In 2009,he was elected a member of parliament to the 15th Lok Sabha.
Chandradeo Prasad Verma was a politician who was elected to the Lok Sabha,the lower house of Parliament of India from the Arrah,Bihar in 1977,1980 and 1996. He was the Union Minister of State for Rural Areas and Employment. He was earlier Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and a Cabinet minister in Bihar.
Chhedi Paswan is a former member of 16th Lok Sabha and a former member of Bihar Legislative Assembly. He represents the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2014. At various points,he has been with Janata Party,then its Charan Singh faction,then the reunited Janata Dal,Bahujan Samaj Party,Nationalist Congress Party,Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD and Nitish Kumar's JD(U).
Malti Devi was a political and social worker and a Member of Parliament elected from the Nawada constituency in the Indian state of Bihar on the Rashtriya Janata Dal party ticket.
Ashwamedh Devi is a politician and a Member of Parliament elected from the Ujiarpur constituency in the Indian state of Bihar being a Janata Dal (United) candidate. Devi has also served as Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Kalyanpur,Samastipur Assembly constituency. In 2023,she was appointed as the Chairperson of Bihar State Commission for Women by Government of Bihar.
Santosh Kumar is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament representing the Purnia constituency in Bihar. He was first elected in the 2014 Indian general election,having run as the Janata Dal (United) candidate in the constituency. In 2010 he was also elected as Member of Legislative assembly of the Baisi of Purnea district as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. One month before 2014 lok sabha election he joined JD(U) as he was nominated as the party candidate for Lok Sabha election for Purnea constituency.
Sumitra Devi was an Indian National Congress politician from Bihar. She was first elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1952 from Jagdishpur. In 1963,she became the first woman cabinet minister of Bihar. She was also the first Bihari woman to become a cabinet minister in Government of India in 1977. Devi was born in Munger district on September 25,1922,and died on February 3,2001. She has served 4 times as MLA of Arrah from 1962 to 1969 and 1972 to 1980. Apart from this,she was also elected once from Piro Assembly constituency in 1957. In 1977,she participated in Indian General elections from Balia Lok Sabha constituency as an independent candidate,but she was defeated.
Shakuni Choudhary is an Indian politician who is a founding member of Samata Party. He was elected to the Lok Sabha,lower house of the Parliament of India from Khagaria Lok Sabha constituency as member of the Samata Party. Choudhary has been known for political defection and has remained Deputy Speaker in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Upendra Nath Verma,known with the honorific "Lokratna",is an Indian politician from Bihar. He was elected to the lower House of the Indian Parliament,the Lok Sabha from Chatra,Bihar,as a member of the Janata Dal. He was the Union Minister for State,Rural Development in 1989-90 in the cabinet of Vishwanath Pratap Singh. Verma was a distinguished social reformer and author,who published numerous works on the social issues prevalent in Indian society. In his political career,he was associated with Samyukta Socialist Party besides Janata Dal and has served as Minister of Education and Revenue in Government of Bihar in 1967 and 1977 respectively.
