Bharadwaj Dayala from the city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India is the first Indian to complete a solo tour around the world on an Indian-made Karizma motorcycle. Youngest son of Rama Rao Dayala and Kusuma achieved this feat without any sponsors or support. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Dayala started his world tour on motorcycle from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India on 2 April 2006 flagged off by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy. He then flew from Mumbai along with his bike to Tehran, Iran. From Tehran he started riding on international roads on his motorcycle traveling through Iran, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Greece, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Canada, the US, Australia, Indonesia and Bangladesh. After riding across 5 continents, 14 countries and 47,000 km in 18 months, he reached home on 2 October 2007.

On 4 December 2013, Dayala was felicitated by Prince of Dubai Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtom for his "exceptional achievement" in global travels and for his "enduring commitment to promoting goodwill, friendship and cultural understanding around the world."

On 23 November 2018, Dayala was awarded the Best Globe Trotter Award by China at China Global Travelers Festival conducted at Shanghai, China.

Virtual Production & Film Making

Dayala is the pioneer in virtual production technology in India. He started India's first virtual production studio named VirtualOne Studios in 2020. [6] In 2024, he is planning to make India's first virtual feature film that will be made completely within a studio.

All India Road Safety Ride: [7]

In 2004 Bharadwaj Dayala, a motorcycle enthusiast and passionate road safety advocate, embarked on an extensive road safety awareness ride across India flagged off by then Home Minister of India Shri L.K. Advani ji.

Covering thousands of kilometers, his journey aimed to educate the public on crucial road safety practices, promote responsible driving, and highlight the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts. Through his travels, Dayala conducted workshops, engaged with local communities, and collaborated with schools and organizations to spread his message. His mission was not just about riding but about making Indian roads safer for everyone, emphasizing the life-saving impact of adhering to road safety rules.

Vande Maataram

On 15 March 2014 Dayala initiated and lead the biker movement called Vande Maataram. [8] [9] [10] A large group of riders traveled to all 29 states of India meeting and motivating the youth to participate in the General Elections that were conducted during April/May 2014. This energized the youth and many participated in voting for the first time.

The system is proposed to reduce traffic congestion as well as providing a modern and efficient public transport system in the city which became the largest city and the main hub for economic activity of Andhra Pradesh after the state's bifurcation. It will be the only Indian city which will have a combination of both metro and tram. Once constructed it will be the world's largest metro prepared in a PPP model. Initially proposed for Metro Rail alignment for a length of 42.55 km in the city. Now, Government have planned to expand the Metro Rail system to cover more routes in the city as well as in the VMRDA area.

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) is the civic body that governs the city of Visakhapatnam, largest city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Its jurisdiction encompasses an area of 640 km2 (250 sq mi). It is also part of the planning body of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority. GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport is an international airport and a greenfield airport under construction at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district, about 40 kilometres (25 mi) north-east of Visakhapatnam and 15 km south east of Vizianagaram. Visakhapatnam is a major metropolitan city in the state of Andhra Pradesh, and it holds the distinction of being the largest city in the state. The rich history of Visakhapatnam dates back over 2,500 years, with its present name potentially given by the Eastern Chalukyas king to their family deity Visakha in 1010 CE. Visakhapatnam was once part of the Kalinga Kingdom around 260 BC before coming under the influence of the Maurya Empire. During this period, Buddhism flourished, leading to the construction of significant monuments between the 2nd century BCE and the 2nd century CE. The city's documented existence begins in 1068 CE, under the rule of King Vishakhavarman. In the 7th century, Visakhapatnam witnessed the conquest of the Eastern Chalukyas, and by the 14th century, it became part of the Reddi Kingdom. The era of European colonization commenced in 1630 with the Dutch, followed by the British taking control in 1757 after a brief interlude of French influence. The Battle of Vizagapatam in 1804 during the Napoleonic Wars emphasized the strategic importance of the city. Following India's independence in 1947, Visakhapatnam became part of the Madras Presidency, later becoming an integral part of Andhra Pradesh. Today, it stands as the largest city in Andhra Pradesh, playing a pivotal role in the state's economy. The city's industrial growth saw a transformative phase with the inauguration of Visakhapatnam Port operations on December 19, 1933, firmly establishing it as a major industrial centre.

Transport in Visakhapatnam is the network of roads, railways, rapid transit system in the largest city of Andhra Pradesh. The city of Visakhapatnam also serves as the central hub of transport and logistics on the East coast of India and hence it is called as City Of Destiny.

The 22701 / 22702 Visakhapatnam–Guntur Uday Express is a Double-decker AC chair Car train of the Indian Railways connecting Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. It is currently being operated with 22701/22702 train numbers on five days a week. It operates at an average speed of 55 km/h.

The Visakhapatnam gas leak, also referred to as the Vizag gas leak, was an industrial accident that occurred at the LG Polymers chemical plant in the R. R. Venkatapuram village of the Gopalapatnam neighbourhood, located at the outskirts of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, during the early morning of 7 May 2020. The resulting vapour cloud spread over a radius of around 3.0 km (1.9 mi), affecting the nearby areas and villages. As per the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the death toll was 13, and more than 1,000 people became sick after being exposed to the gas.

The 20707/20708 Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express is India's 48th Vande Bharat Express train, connecting the twin city and state capital of Telangana, Secundarabad with the largest metropolitan city Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. This express train was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing from Ahmedabad on March 12 2024.

The 20841/20842 Bhubaneswar–Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express is India's 50th Vande Bharat Express train, connecting the metropolitan city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar with the city Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. This express train was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing from Ahmedabad on March 12 2024.
