The Ranji Trophy is the premier domestic first-class cricket championship played in India and organized annually by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The teams representing regional and state cricket associations participate. BCCI founded the championship in year 1934, since then it is organised across various grounds and stadiums in India.
Vasco da Gama, often shortened to Vasco, is a city in the state of Goa on the west coast of India. It is named after the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. It is the headquarters of the Mormugão taluka (subdistrict). Its main home ground is the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar, and it also plays at Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground in Jammu.
Brahmanand Sagoon Kamat Sankhwalkar is a former Indian footballer and a captain of the Indian team from 1983 to 1986, who played as a goalkeeper. Considered one of India's best goalkeepers, he had 25-year playing career. He played for Panvel Sports Club, Salgaocar, Churchill Brothers, Anderson Mariners at the club level, that included 17 years with Salgaocar, and for Goa state team in the Santosh Trophy. Playing for Goa, he led the team to two consecutive wins at the Santosh Trophy; in 1983 and 1984. Having maintained a clean sheet of 576 minutes in the 1984 tournament, he holds the Indian record.
The Peshawar Club Ground is a cricket ground in Peshawar, Pakistan, used for one Test match between India and Pakistan in February 1955. It staged first class cricket matches from 1938 to 1987.
Bhausaheb Babasaheb Nimbalkar was an Indian first-class cricketer who is remembered for his innings of 443 not out in the 1948–49 Ranji Trophy match between Maharashtra and Kathiawar. At the time, it was the second-highest score in the history of first-class cricket. It remains the Indian record and is also the highest score by a batsman who never played in Test cricket. Nimbalkar was a right-handed batsman whose career spanned the seasons from 1939/40 to 1963/64. He played for six first-class teams: Baroda, Maharashtra, Holkar, Madhya Bharat, Rajasthan, and Railways. He was an occasional wicket-keeper and a right-arm fast-medium bowler.

The ground first held a first-class match in November 1986 when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir in the 1986/87 Ranji Trophy. The ground has held ten further first-class matches, the last of which came in the 2001/02 Ranji Trophy between Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. The first List A match held on the ground came in the 1987/88 Deodhar Trophy when the North Zone played the South Zone. Himachal Pradesh first played a List A match there in 1994/95 Ranji Trophy one-day competition when Punjab were the visiting team. Between the 1994/95 season and the 1999/00 season, Himachal Pradesh played five List A fixtures there. The last game in that format to be held there came in the 2001/02 Deodhar Trophy when East Zone played the South Zone. It has 800m track.

The ground first held a first-class match in November 1986 when Himachal Pradesh played the Delhi in the 1986/87 Ranji Trophy. The ground has held 21 further first-class matches, the last of which came in the 2001/02 Ranji Trophy when Himachal Pradesh and the Services. The first List A match held on the ground came in the 1989/90 Deodhar Trophy when the Central Zone played the West Zone. Himachal Pradesh first played a List A match there in 1993/94 Ranji Trophy one-day competition when the Services were the visiting team. Between the 1993/94 season and the 2010/11 season, Himachal Pradesh have played nineteen List A fixtures there.
Railway Stadium is a cricket ground in Vasco da Gama, Goa, India. The only recorded match held on the ground was a first-class match between Goa played Kerala in the 1986/87 Ranji Trophy, which Kerala won by 6 wickets.
The Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground, formerly known as the District Institute of Education and Training Ground, is a cricket ground in Porvorim, Goa, India. The first recorded match held on the ground came in November 2008 when Goa Under-16s played Kerala Under-16s. Two first-class matches have been played at the ground, the first of which came in the 2011-11 Ranji Trophy. The first saw Goa play Jharkhand, while the second saw Tripura as the visitors. The Goa Cricket Academy is based at the ground.
Arlem Breweries Ground is a cricket ground in Margao, Goa, India. Established in 1976, the ground held its first first-class to be played there came in the 1985/86 Ranji Trophy when Goa played Hyderabad. Between the 1985/86 season and the 2003/04 season, the ground held twelve first-class matches. The first List A match played there came when Goa played Andhra Pradesh in the 1994/95 Ranji Trophy one-day competition. Seven further List A matches have been played on the ground, the last of which saw Goa play Karnataka in the 2004/05 Ranji Trophy one-day competition.
