GDV–BVRM Broad gauge railway opened by Jagjivan Ram Railway Minister on 8 October 1961. First express train passing through BVRT is Narsapur express (17255/17256) introduced in year 1-10-1979, first AC train was Cocanada SF Express (12775/12776) cct-sec and non-AC Superfast train was vskp-ltt SF Express (12749/12750) runs on Wednesday and Saturday at present it was converted into ordinary vskp-ltt (18519/18520) Express daily

Mookambika Road Byndoor is a railway station in coastal Karnataka in South India. Its four-letter code is BYNR. Mookambika Road Byndoor is the main railway station in the town of Byndoor in Udupi district. It serves Byndoor city which is 1 kilometre away from the station. It is the nearest railway station to the famous pilgrimage centre, Kollur Mookambika temple. The distance from Byndoor railway station to Kollur Mookambika temple is about 28 km which can be covered in 40 minutes to one hour by road. Trains from here connect the city to prominent state capitals of India like Bangalore (Karnataka), Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai and so forth. It is also well connected to the major railway stations such as Goa (Madgoan), Udupi, Mangalore, Kasaragod and Ernakulam. Rail connectivity in Byndoor was established in 1997. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Sultanpur Express is a superfast train of the Indian Railways connecting Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai in Maharashtra and Sultanpur Junction of Uttar Pradesh. It is currently being operated with 12143/12144 train numbers on Weekly basis.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Banaras Express is a Express train of the Indian Railways connecting Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kurla in Maharashtra and Banaras of Uttar Pradesh.
