Bhoot Aaya (Ghost has come) is an Indian drama documentary television series created by Akashdeep Sabir and directed by Ayush Raina for Sony Entertainment Television. Its central plot was based on paranormal experiences narrated by the real victims. Earlier the series was scheduled to telecast on 29 September 2013. But it was delayed, and the series premiered on 13 October 2013. [1] The show was directed by Ayush Raina and was co-produced by Kaishav Arora. The series ended on 6 April 2014.
Bhoot Aaya attempted to explore the unexplained forces of the dark world and their encounters with humans. It is based on human brain psychology; whether the belief in ghosts is innate or not. The show depicted real life, spine chilling experiences of ordinary people. Each episode of Bhoot Aaya introduced Gaurav Tiwari and other experts from Indian Paranormal Society to explain the reasons behind such unexplained events.

Grant Steven Wilson is an art director and developer for Rather Dashing Games, a game company he founded with Michael Richie, and is the co-founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), which is based in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is also the star and co-producer of the cable television reality series Ghost Hunters. He left the show in 2014 and returned for the 2019 revival.
Jason Conrad Hawes is an American plumber and the co-founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), which is based in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is also one of the stars and co-producers of Syfy's Ghost Hunters, which ended its initial run after its eleventh season on October 26, 2016. Several years later, the show was renewed and revived for a 12th season at A&E, with new episodes premiering in August 2019 without Hawes's participation. TAPS co-founder and former lead investigator Grant Wilson returned to lead a brand new team, while Hawes moved on to lead his own show with Ghost Hunters alumni Dave Tango and Steve Gonsalves in Ghost Nation, which has been airing on the Travel Channel since October 2019.

The common word for ghosts in Bengali is bhoot or bhut. This word has an alternative meaning: 'past' in Bengali. Also, the word Pret is used in Bengali to mean ghost. In Bengal, ghosts are believed to be the unsatisfied spirits of human beings who cannot find peace after death or the souls of people who died in unnatural or abnormal circumstances like murders, suicides or accidents. Non-human animals can also turn into ghosts after their death. But they are often associated with good luck and wealth in Bangladesh.

An independent film of the same name originally aired on the Sci-Fi Channel on July 25, 2007.
