It borders the states of Uttar Pradesh to the northeast, Chhattisgarh to the southeast, Maharashtra to the south, Gujarat to the west, and Rajasthan to the northwest. Its total area is 308,252 km2. Before 2000, when Chhattisgarh was a part of Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh was the largest state in India and the distance between the two furthest points inside the state, Singoli and Konta, was 1500 km. Konta is presently in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh state.

It consists of 11 AC coaches. Its all the classes are GPS enabled and provide information such as current train speed, distance to final destination, distance to next stop, stoppage station name and timing performance on an LCD display. The train started its services in September 2013. [3]

The Indore Metro is a rapid transit light metro system which is under construction for the city of Indore, India. The total system consists of 10 corridors covering a distance of 124 kilometres (77 mi). This project will cost approximately 12,000 crore (US$1.7 billion). Indore - Puri Humsafar Express is a superfast express train of the Indian Railways connecting Indore Junction in Madhya Pradesh and Puri in Odisha. It is currently being operated with 19317/19318 train numbers on weekly basis.
