Bhubneshwar Prasad Mehta (born 2 August 1940) is an Indian politician,affiliated to the Communist Party of India. He represented the Hazaribagh constituency of Jharkhand in the 14th Lok Sabha. [1]
Mehta was born in August 2,1940 in a poor farmer family belonging to Koeri community. [2] [3] [4] He worked as a coal union leader in his early days. He is known as Stalin of Jharkhand. He won the 2004 Lok Sabha elections on a CPI ticket,defeating BJP's Yashwant Sinha,who served as the finance minister in the Vajpayee government. However,Mehta lost the next election to Yashwant Sinha.

Yashwant Sinha is an Indian administrator and politician. He served as the Minister of Finance from 1990 until 1991 under Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar and again from March 1998 to July 2002 under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It was successful in mobilising Upper Backward Caste group such as Koeris in some districts of central Bihar,prior to the rise of Lalu Prasad Yadav. The party faced existential crisis when a large section of its Koeri and Yadav support base was defected to Rashtriya Janata Dal in 1990s. However,the ideological commitment of its cadre protected it from disintegration. It staged a comeback in politics after winning twelve seats in Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2020 and by sending two of its members to Lok Sabha in 2024 Indian general elections.

Babulal Marandi is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and it's Jharkhand unit president. He was the first Chief Minister of Jharkhand and formerly Leader of the Legislature Party of BJP in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. He was also the founder and national President of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik),which he later merged with BJP. He was the Member of Parliament in 12th,13th 14th and 15th Lok Sabha from Jharkhand. He was the Union State Minister (MoS) for Forests &Environment of India in the BJP –led National Democratic Alliance Government in 1998 to 2000. He was appointed as Jharkhand BJP president on 04 July 2023.

Aklu Ram Mahto was an Indian politician from Jharkhand,who served as Minister for Finance and Institution in undivided Bihar. He was a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal,having served as important functionary in several other political parties in past. He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly via Bokaro constituency. He won the Bihar Assembly Election in 1995 securing 99,798 votes. Mahto won Vidhan Sabha elections in the year 1980 and 1995. He had contested Lok Sabha elections from Dhanbad on four occasions while from Giridih and Hazaribagh once. Mahto was also associated with the movement,which started on the question of including Manbhum in West Bengal. He was one of the prominent leader to voice support for the rights of displaced people,who needed rehabilitation after the establishment of Bokaro Steel Plant. For four decades,after coming into existence of Bokaro Assembly constituency in 1977,he remained pivotal in its politics.

Raja Ram Singh or Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha,is an Indian politician based in Bihar,who was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly twice,from Obra Assembly constituency in Aurangabad district. He is a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation. He was first elected in 1995 and retained this constituency in 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. He is also a politburo member of CPI(ML)L. In 2024 Indian general election,he defeated Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh with a margin of over one lakh votes to win Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. He stood first in the triangular electoral contest involving National Democratic Alliance candidate and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president,Upendra Kushwaha and Pawan Singh.
