Bianca Cogel-Dittrich (born 3 January 1967) is a retired German rhythmic gymnast who represented East Germany. [1] She's a World Championships bronze medalist and won gold at the Goodwill Games.
Bianca made her debut in 1980, when she won bronze in the All-Around, with hoop and with clubs, silver with ribbon and gold with rope at the East German Championships. [2] [3] In 1981 she tied with Petra Loucky for the national All-Around title, also winning gold with hoop and silver with rope and ribbon; the same year she took part in the World Championships in Munich taking 19th place overall. [4]
At the 1982 European Championships in Stavanger, she was 12th in the All-Around and 5th with clubs. [5] At nationals she won All-Around, rope, clubs and ribbon gold as well as silver with hoop. [2] [3] The following year she retained the All-Around, ball and clubs titles, winning silver with hoop and bronze with ball at the East German Championships. Competing at the 1st World Cup in Belgrade she finished 10th overall. [6] At the World Championships in Strasbourg she was 7th in the All-Around and 8th with ball. [7]
In 1985 she was selected for the World Championships in Valladolid, she was 5th in the All-Around and with rope, 6th with clubs and 8th with ribbon and won bronze in the ball final. [8] At the GDR Championships she was the overall runner-up, achieving the same results with rope, clubs and ribbon, and winning gold with ball. In 1986 she was 64th at the European Championships in Florence. [9] In the same year she won another national All-Around tittle, silver with rope, ball and ribbon and silver with clubs. Dittrich also won bronze with ribbon and gold with rope at the 1986 Goodwill Games in Moscow. [10]
Although she wanted to try to compete in the 1988 Olympics she retired in 1987 due to health reasons. After her career ended she had a son and worked in theatre. [11]
Hanna Volodymyrivna Bezsonova is a Ukrainian former individual rhythmic gymnast. She is one of the most decorated rhythmic gymnast of her generation. She is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist ; a five-time medalist in the all-around competition of the World Championships: gold in 2007, silver in 2003 and 2005, bronze in 2001 and 2009; a four-time medalist in the all-around competition of the European Championships: silver in 2004 and 2008, bronze in 2002 and 2006; and a four-time medalist in the all-around competition of the Grand Prix Final: gold in 2003, silver in 2002 and 2005, bronze in 2004.
Melitina Dmitryevna Staniouta is a Belarusian retired individual rhythmic gymnast. She is a three-time World all-around bronze medalist, the 2015 European Games all-around bronze medalist, the 2014 European Championships all-around silver medalist, and 2009 Grand Prix Final all-around bronze medalist.
Regina Weber is a German former individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 1984 Olympic All-around bronze medalist.
Sofia Raffaeli is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2024 OIympic bronze medalist, 2022 World all-around, hoop, ball, ribbon and team champion, the 2023 World all-around, hoop and ball silver medalist, the 2023 European silver all-around medalist, and the 2024 European all-around silver medalist. She is the first Italian individual rhythmic gymnast to win a gold medal at the World Championships, European Championships and World Games, and she has won seven all-around gold medals in the FIG World Cup circuit.
Eva Brezalieva is a Bulgarian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2023 European silver medalist with ribbon and the 2020 European junior bronze medalist with rope and On national level, she is the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Senior all-around bronze medalist and the 2019 Bulgarian Junior All-Around bronze medalist.
Takhmina Ikromova is an Uzbekistani rhythmic gymnast. She is an Asian Games champion individually and in the team event, and she is also a two-time all-around champion at the Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, in 2022 and 2023. She is competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics in Women's rhythmic individual all-around at the Adidas Arena on 8-9 August 2024.
Margarita Kolosov is a German rhythmic gymnast. She is a two-time German all-around champion. She is also a two-time team silver medalist at the World Championships
Darja Varfolomeev is a Russian-born German rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2024 Olympic all-around and 2023 World all-around gold medalist and the 2022 World all-around silver medalist. In 2024 she became the 2024 European all-around bronze medalist. At the national level, she is a two-time national All-Around champion as well a two-time All-Around junior champion.
Ana Bautista Reyes is a former Spanish rhythmic gymnast who was a member of the Spanish national team of rhythmic gymnastics in individual form. In 1989 she won the first official gold medal for Spanish rhythmic gymnastics, with rope in the European Cup finals in Hanover, among others. She was Spanish champion in 1989.
