Biathlon Junior World Championships 2000

The 2000 Biathlon Junior World Championships was held in Hochfilzen, Austria from February 8 to February 12, 2000. There was to be a total of eight competitions: sprint, pursuit, individual, mass start, and relay races for men and women.

The cases involved a 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman who were travelling from Lombardy, Italy, and were treated at a hospital in Innsbruck. According to new figures released by Austrian authorities on 23 June, the first case in the country was recorded in Ischgl, Tyrol on 8 February.
