Tasks
- Day 1 - VIP VeBevizija
Because 2007 Eurovision Song Contest is soon, Big Brother decided to make something like a Eurovision Song Contest where the housemates will compete with songs that represented Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina on ESC in the past. In three days the housemates will have to prepare their songs and also the choreography that will be performed on the stage.
The competitors are:
- "Brazil" (song that was originally performed by Bebi Dol for Yugoslavia) - Olja Karleuša and Ognjen Ivanović
- "In The Disco" (song was originally performed by Deen for Bosnia-Herzegovina) - Danijel Alibabić, Gordana Sekulić and Emina Hamzabegović
- "Zauvijek Moja" (song was originally performed by No Name for Serbia and Montenegro) - Saša Ćurčić and Pedja D'Boy
- "Ludi letnji ples" (song was originally performed by Flamingosi) - Dragan Marinković, Zorica Jocić Šuica, Big Lale and Marta Keler
Danijela Vranješ was the host. During this task Emina and Gordana had a fight. The housemates passed this task.
- Day 2 - I'm known for...
In this task the housemateshad to perform something that they are known for. The housemates passed this task.
- Day 5 - Boulevard of stars
In this task the housemates had to leave a print of the part of their body that they are most proud of in wet cement. And then they will have to hold a speech where they will thank everyone who helped them to become stars. The housemates passed this task.
- Day 8 - I go to school
In this task the housemates once again went through second grade of primary school. Every day they had 4 classes. During this task they had to do things that little kids do (play games, wear school uniforms and they can't swear). The housemates passed this task.
- Day 9 - Paparazzi
This task was a secret task. Aleksandar Jovanović had to take pictures of housemates and write articles about them, but the housemates can't find out what he's doing. He had 24 hours to do this task. Aleksandar didn't pass this task and he was nominated for eviction.
- Day 12 - Tennis against Big Brother
The housemates played tennis against Big Brother. In the yard they had a tennis net and on the other side of the net machines that throw out tennis balls. The housemates played in pairs. The housemates get a point if they hit the tennis ball. The housemates passed this task and as reward they had a party next night.
- Day 15 - VB Skandik Bank
In this task two housemates are the chefs of VB Skandik Bank, and all the other housemates are employees in the bank. The housemates will have 3 parts of this task and Big Brother told the chefs (Saša Ćurčić and Olja Karleuša) that they will pass this task if the employees of the bank pass 2 of those three parts of the task. The chefs also had a secret room in the house of Big Brother that was treated as their office (other housemates mustn't find out about the secret room or the task will be unsuccessful). But, that task was the fake one. Only the employees knew the real task, and the real task was not to pass 2 out of 3 parts of the task.
The first part of the task was to count money correctly. The employees tried really hard to sabotage this part, and they succeeded at that. The second part was to build a copy of the small building of Skandik bank. The employees again sabotaged the task. The third part was to invest money in some stocks. This time the employees didn't sabotage the task. By not passing 2 out of 3 parts of the task, the housemates passed the real task.
- Day 20 - Sculptors
In this task Big Brother divided the housemates into 5 teams each consisting of two members. The task was to build a figure of their team mate out of clay. If they pass this task the housemates will as a reward get a party. The housemates passed this task.
The Yugoslav Cup, officially known between 1923 and 1940 as the King Alexander Cup (Serbian: Куп краља Александра; Croatian: Kup kralja Aleksandra, and between 1947 and 1991 as the Marshal Tito Cup, was one of two major football competitions in Yugoslavia, the other one being the Yugoslav League Championship. The Yugoslav Cup took place after the league championships when every competitive league in Yugoslavia had finished, in order to determine which teams are ranked as their corresponding seeds. The Marshal Tito Cup trophy was based on a design by Branko Šotra.
Jelena Karleuša is a Serbian singer-songwriter and media personality. Having received substantial media coverage due to her provocative, often polarizing and controversial public persona and work, she was described as the "Madonna of the Balkans" and "Lady Gaga of Serbia" by Focus and W magazine, respectively.
Big Brother is the Croatian version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show was aired on RTL Televizija. It followed a number of contestants who live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. Throughout the season, housemates are completing tasks, every incomplete task reduces the prize.
Bosniaks of Serbia are a recognized national minority in Serbia. According to the 2022 census, the population of ethnic Bosniaks in Serbia is 153,801, constituting 2.3% of the total population, which makes them the third largest ethnic group in the country. The vast majority of them live in the southwestern part of the country that borders Montenegro and Kosovo, called Sandžak. Their cultural center is located in Novi Pazar.
Veliki Brat was a Serbian version of the global reality show franchise Big Brother. The show was recorded and produced in Belgrade by Emotion Production.
Veliki Brat 2006 was the first season of Serbian version of Big Brother. The show premiered on 15 September 2006 and ran for 107 days, concluding on 31 December 2006. There were 14 housemates entered the house on Day 1. During the season, five more housemates were brought in. The winner of the season is Ivan Ljuba, a medical student and pianist from Belgrade. The season quickly became a rating hit on Serbian television but has also received plenty of criticism.
Big Brother Slovenija is the Slovenian version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show was originally broadcast on Kanal A in 2007, 2008, 2015 and 2016. A celebrity season was aired in 2010 on POP TV. The show followed a number of contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom built house and trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run.
Dragan Marinković "Maca" is a Bosnian actor and TV personality.
Veliki Brat 2007 is the second season of the television reality show Veliki Brat, the Serbian, Bosnian and Montenegrin joint version of Big Brother.
Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Pokušaj" written and performed by Elvir Laković Laka. On 27 December 2007, the Bosnian broadcaster Radio and Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) revealed that they had internally selected Laka to compete at the 2008 contest in Belgrade, Serbia. His song, "Pokušaj", was presented to the public during a show entitled BH Eurosong 2008 on 3 March 2008.
Veliki Brat VIP 2 is the second season of the celebrity version of Veliki Brat. It started airing on March 1, 2008 on the television channels B92, Pink BH, and Pink M.
Ana Đolić is a Croatian singer, who participated in television shows such as Hrvatski Idol, Ne zaboravi stihove!, and finally Operacija trijumf, which was shown in five countries. Her debut single, "Preživjet ću", reached number one in Serbia in 2009.
Veliki Brat VIP All Stars was the third season of the regional celebrity version of Veliki Brat. The show started airing on 9 March 2009, and finished on 6 April 2009.
Veliki Brat 2009 is the third season of the television reality show Veliki Brat, the Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin and Macedonian joint version of Big Brother. Macedonia joined the Veliki Brat for the first time, setting the record number of participating countries in Veliki Brat to four. The show started on 21 September 2009 and ended on 30 December 2009.
Survivor Srbija: Philippines is the second season of the Serbian version of the Survivor television series, created by Vision Team production company and broadcast by Fox televizija.
Veliki Brat VIP 4 was the fourth season of the regional celebrity version of Veliki Brat. The airing starts on 30 January 2010. It was aired on four television channels in four countries: Pink in Serbia, Pink BH in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Pink M in Montenegro and Sitel in Macedonia.
Marina Tucaković was a Serbian lyricist and songwriter. Born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, Tucaković had a degree from the Economic Faculty at the University of Belgrade. She first started writing songs at the age of 19. After the success of "Dodirni mi kolena" by the Yugoslav rock group Zana and vocalist Zana Nimani, Tucaković continued working with numerous artists in then Yugoslavia.
Veliki Brat 2011 was the fourth season of the Serbian production of the Big Brother reality television series Veliki Brat. This season was notable for being the first to feature houseguests from Croatia, and in doing so it holds the record for largest number of unique nations represented with five. Along with Serbia and Croatia, the other three nations represented were Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia. The program is known as Big Brother in Croatia due to a former Croatian Big Brother series that aired for five seasons which was not affiliated with Veliki Brat.
Veliki Brat 2015, also known as Veliki Brat 5 is the fifth season of the television reality show Veliki Brat, the Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin and Macedonian joint version of Big Brother. This season is the fifth season of the show in Serbia and seventh overall in Croatia - for both a first season after the show went on a two-year hiatus. The show is broadcast by RTL for Croatia, B92 and Prva TV for Serbia, OBN and BN for Bosnia & Herzegovina, Sitel for Macedonia and Prva for Montenegro.
The Goražde printing house was one of the earliest printing houses among the Serbs, and the first in the territory of present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina. Established in 1519 in Venice, it was soon relocated to the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saint George in the village of Sopotnica near Goražde, in the Ottoman Sanjak of Herzegovina. It was founded and run by Božidar Ljubavić, also known as Božidar Goraždanin, who was a prominent merchant from Goražde. His son Teodor Ljubavić, a hieromonk of the Mileševa Monastery, managed the work of the printing house. It worked until 1523, producing three books, which are counted among the better accomplishments of early Serb printers.
