Bihar Institute of Law is a Law school situated beside Bailey Road at Ashiana More, Raja Bazaar in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar. [1] [2] It offers undergraduate 3 years LL.B. and 5 years integrated law course which is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi and affiliated to Patliputra University. [3]

History

Law Society of Bihar established by senior advocates of Patna High Court and academicians of Patna. Bihar Institute of Law was established in January 1984 by the Law Society for imparting legal education. [4]

A supporter of Mahatma Gandhi, Prasad was imprisoned by British authorities during the Salt Satyagraha of 1931 and the Quit India movement of 1942. After the constituent assembly 1946 elections, Prasad served as Minister of Food and Agriculture in the central government. Upon independence in 1947, Prasad was elected as President of the Constituent Assembly of India, which prepared the Constitution of India and served as its provisional Parliament.
