Jessica Smyth, known by the stage name Biig Piig is an Irish singer and rapper based in West London. She performs in English and Spanish and is signed to Sony Music Entertainment.
Biig Piig was born in Cork, Ireland. She lived in Spain from the ages of four to twelve, [1] after her family had moved on advice that the climate would be better for her brother's asthma. [2] Upon moving with her family back to Ireland, she was at first able to read and write only in Spanish, and had to reintegrate into Irish culture. She moved with her family to West London at the age of 14 [3] where she worked as a late-night poker dealer, [4] and where her parents continue to run a pub. [5] [6] While taking a music technology class at Richmond College, Biig Piig met Lava La Rue, the founder and creative director [7] of NiNE8, a collective of like-minded young DIY musical artists. [8] Biig Piig subsequently joined NiNE8, and during this period, performed at Soho open mics, finding a new voice at a freestyling session in 2015. [9] It was at this freestyling session that Biig Piig met Mac Wetha, with whom she began writing and who became a major producer for her. [10]
In 2016 Biig Piig began uploading her music to SoundCloud. In 2017 her single "Vice City" caught the attention of digital music platform COLORS, who invited her to record a live video session of the song at their Berlin studios. Released on 13 April, it was a breakthrough for her, and has been viewed over nine million times on YouTube [11] and streamed more than seven million times on Spotify. She followed it up with the singles "24K" and "Perdida". The latter gained her further notice.
On 27 April 2018 she released the first of a trilogy of projects, the five-track EP Big Fan of the Sesh, Vol 1. [12] Its sequel, A World Without Snooze, Vol 2, followed on 22 March 2019. In June of that year she signed to RCA Records, [13] releasing the track "Roses and Gold" 2 October 2019 in advance of a headlining European tour [14] and her first official label release "Sunny", [15] produced by Zach Nahome.
The third in her trilogy, No Place For Patience, Vol. 3, her first EP on RCA, was released in November 2019 followed by latest EP release The Sky Is Bleeding in 2020, following a string of breakthrough singles including Switch,Don't Turn Around and Feels Right with combined streams of over 60 million. Biig Piig opened for Glass Animals on their Dreamland tour in November 2021. [17]
She collaborated with Metronomy on their single "405". [18]
The single "Fun" was released on 14 June 2022. [19] Biig Piig features on the single "Rainbow Tables" by Bien Et Toi, released August 2022. [20]
In September 2022 she issued the single "Kerosene", co-written with Zach Nahome and Maverick Sabre. [21]
Biig Piig has explained that the name "puts no pressure on me to be a certain way – I can be a mess, and I can also be cute and put together." [22] [23]

Orla Gartland is an Irish singer, songwriter and musician. Gartland released her debut studio album, Woman on the Internet, in 2021, which reached number 3 on the Irish album chart, number 1 on the UK Indie Chart, and number 10 on the UK Albums Chart. Her second studio album Everybody Needs a Hero came out in October 2024.
Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez, known professionally as Arca, is a Venezuelan musician and record producer based in Barcelona, Spain. She initially began releasing music under the name of Nuuro. After attending the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Ghersi first released the EP Baron Libre (2012) under the name Arca and subsequently released the EPs Stretch 1 and Stretch 2; the latter experimented with hip hop and brought her attention from prominent music publications.
Sundara Karma were an English rock band formed in 2011 in Reading, Berkshire. The band consisted of lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Oscar Pollock, lead guitarist Ally Baty, bassist Dom Cordell and drummer Haydn Evans. The band's name is derived from Sanskrit words, meaning "Beautiful Karma".
Metronomy Forever is the sixth studio album by English electronic music band Metronomy. NewDad are an Irish indie rock band from Galway, formed in 2018. Their music has been compared to The Cure, Beabadoobee, and Just Mustard by NME magazine. Atwood Magazine wrote of the group: "The band oozes personality with cynical but honest lyrics, colorful visual components, and poignant messages about coping with the, albeit painful, formative experiences." The group have appeared at the Green Man Festival in Wales, the Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris, and on the Irish television program Other Voices.

Thomas George Villiers is an English musician from Saffron Walden. After being introduced to dance music via his brother, he began producing drum and bass tracks and uploading them to SoundCloud. While at the Royal Northern College of Music, he joined See Thru Hands and cofounded Porij, with whom he released one and two EPs respectively. In mid-2020, he formed Piri & Tommy with Piri, with whom he released the mixtape Froge.mp3, which they promoted with Froge.tour, and several singles including "Soft Spot", "Beachin", "On & On", "Feel It", "Updown", and "Nice 2 Me". He also played Scotty in the music video for Wet Leg's "Ur Mum" and has released several singles including a remix of LF System's "Afraid to Feel".
Aiwa or Ava Laurel, better known by their stage name Lava La Rue, is a British-Jamaican musician and director from West London. They are the founder and creative director of NiNE8 collective.
Asha Catherine Nandy, known by the stage name Yunè Pinku, is an Irish musician whose work blends garage with other forms of electronic music. She has released two EPs, Bluff and Babylon IX, the latter of which charted at No. 8 on the UK Dance Albums Chart; she is also a member of ESEA Music, and has been cited as an inspiration by Piri.
Porij are an English four-piece band formed in Manchester in 2019 after meeting at the Royal Northern College of Music. At the time, the band consisted of Tommy Villiers, Tom Donaldson, James Middleton, and Scout Moore. Villiers and Donaldson later left and were replaced by guitarist Jacob Maguire and drummer Nathan Carroll. They have released the EPs Breakfast, Baby Face, and Outlines, before supporting Coldplay for four Manchester gigs of their Music of the Spheres World Tour in mid-2023. They released their debut album, Teething, in April 2024, which was received positively by DIY, The Line of Best Fit, NME, Dork, and Clash, but not The Guardian.
Daniella Landy Lubasu, known professionally as DellaXOZ, is an English singer. Born in Bolton, she began experimenting with Soundtrap at 12 years old as an outlet for her emotions, before diversifying into GarageBand. She has released two EPs: The Della Variant (2022) and Dellairium (2024). She is a member of Loud LDN.
