William Arthur Masse (born July 6, 1966) is a retired professional baseball outfielder who competed for the United States national baseball team in the 1988 Summer Olympics.
A native of Manchester, Connecticut, Masse attended Davidson College and Wake Forest University. From 1985 to 1987, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named a league all-star in 1985 and 1987. [1] [2] [3]
The New York Yankees drafted Masse in the seventh round of the 1988 Major League Baseball Draft. After his retirement as a player, he served as a minor league baseball manager. [4]

Richard Fred "Pete" Varney Jr. is a retired American college baseball coach and a former professional baseball catcher. A graduate of Harvard College, he also played a notable role in the 1968 Yale vs. Harvard football game, in which Harvard roared back from a 29–13 deficit in the final 42 seconds of play to tie Yale, 29–29. Both teams were undefeated at the time.
The Chatham Anglers, more commonly referred to as the Chatham A's and formerly the Chatham Athletics, are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Chatham, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's East Division. Chatham plays its home games at historic Veterans Field, the team's home since 1923, in the town of Chatham on the Lower Cape. The A's have been operated by the non-profit Chatham Athletic Association since 1963.

The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. The Kettleers play their home games at Lowell Park in Cotuit. The team has been owned and operated by the non-profit Cotuit Athletic Association since 1947.
