William "Bill" Harry Stovall III (born February 21,1960) is an American politician. He was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives,serving from 2001 to 2007. He is a member of the Democratic party. [1]
Thelma Loyace Stovall was a pioneering American politician in the state of Kentucky. In 1949,she won election as state representative for Louisville and served three consecutive terms. Over the next two decades,Stovall was elected Kentucky State Treasurer twice and Secretary of State of Kentucky three times. She capped her career as the 47th Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky (1975–1979) in the administration of her fellow Democrat,Governor Julian Carroll. She was the first woman to hold the office.
George Thomas Stovall,nicknamed "Firebrand",was an American first baseman in Major League Baseball. He played for the Cleveland Naps and the St. Louis Browns in the American League,and he also played two seasons with the Kansas City Packers of the short-lived Federal League. He was the manager of the Naps for one season in 1911,and in 1912,he went to the Browns,serving as player-manager for two seasons. In 1914,he jumped to the Packers as a first baseman-manager. In 1916,he signed with the Toledo Mud Hens and played a season there before retiring from baseball at age 39.
Jerry Lane Stovall,nicknamed "Mr. Everything",is an American former football player,coach,and college athletics administrator. He played college football for the LSU Tigers,where he was a unanimous selection to the 1962 College Football All-America Team as a halfback. Stovall played professionally as a safety and punter in the National Football League (NFL) with the St. Louis Cardinals from 1963 to 1971. Stovall served as the head football coach at his alma mater,LSU,from 1980 to 1983,compiling a record of 22–21–2 in four seasons and leading the 1982 team to an appearance in the 1983 Orange Bowl. He was the athletic director at Louisiana Tech University from 1990 to 1993. He is the only player in LSU history to be named a unanimous All-American (1962),be selected to the college football hall of fame (2010),be selected as a first round pick (1963),and to be selected to the pro bowl.
Maurice Aurilius Stovall is a former American football wide receiver and tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Notre Dame.

In 1985,he helped introduce the Nintendo Entertainment System at its North American launch.

Stovall placed second in his signature event,the 200-meter butterfly,at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha,Nebraska,with a career-best time of 1:53.86,which earned him a place on the U.S. Olympic team. At that time,Stovall was the second-fastest swimmer ever in that event,behind only Michael Phelps.

Among other actions while representing the United States in Switzerland he signed documents committing the United States to be part of the World Court. Wallace Oliver Stovall Sr. was the publisher of the Tampa Tribune. The Wallace Stovall building,built in 1926 according to designs by Tampa architect B. Clayton Bonfoey,was located at 416 Tampa Street and Lafayette Street. It was used as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) Headquarters during the Great Depression of the 1930s and was eventually demolished.
