Billal Miah (born 15 May 1960) is an Indian politician from Tripura. [8] [9] [10] He is a former member of the Tripura Legislative Assembly from the Boxanagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency),having first been elected in the 1988 and 1998 elections. [11] He was the working President of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee [12] before leaving INC on 24th Aug 2023. [13] He was welcomed in BJP by Hon'ble CM Prof. Dr Manik Saha in Presence of Dr Mahesh Sharma,MP. [14]
Billal Miah was born on 15 May 1960 in Sonamura to Maharam Ali and Sahara Begam. He did his schooling from NCI Institution,Sonamura,Tripura in 1981 and joined,University of Calcutta for further studies. He did his graduation in 1985 in political science from MBB college. Billal Miah married Nasreen Sultana on 16 December 1991. They have a son,Sabbir Ahammed Belali,and a daughter,Nusrat Jahan Sultana. [15]
Billal Miah entered politics in 1979,as NSUI General Secretary,Sonamura Sub division. He served as Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress President,Sonamura Sub Division in 1983,State Youth Congress secretary 1985. In 1988,from Boxanagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency),Billa Miah was elected to the Tripura Legislative Assembly. [16] [17] He was appointed Minister of State for Agriculture,Fishery and Animal Resources,Planning Coordination,Flood Control. In 1991 he was appointed Cabinet Minister for Animal Resources,Labour and Employment Statistics.
In 1998,he was again elected as MLA from Boxanagar. [18]

Rahul Rajiv Gandhi is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian Parliament,who represents the constituency of Wayanad,Kerala in the Lok Sabha. He previously represented the constituency of Amethi,Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the main opposition party,the Indian National Congress and was the party president from December 2017 to July 2019. However,in August 2023,the Supreme Court of India stayed his conviction,which allowed him to contest the next election and to be reinstated as an MP for Wayanad. On 7 August 2023,he was reinstated as Member of Parliament.
Ajit Pramod Kumar Jogi was an Indian politician,who has served as the 1st Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh from 2000 to 2003 and a member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly from Marwahi from 2018 to 2020 and from 2001 to 2013. Subburaman Thirunavukkarasar is an Indian politician. He was the State President of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee till 2 February 2019 and former secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) of the Indian National Congress (INC) party. His introduction to politics in 1977 was facilitated by former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,M. G. Ramachandran. Ramachandran founded the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in 1972 and was facing his first elections for the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election in 1977. He identified Thirunavukkarasar,a lawyer by profession,to contest the Aranthangi assembly constituency. Thirunavukkarasar won the seat,aged 27,and was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He continued in that capacity till 1980. Subsequently,he served as Tamil Nadu state minister from 1980 to 1987 in the MGR cabinet,holding portfolios that included Industries,Housing Board,Excise and Handlooms. Later,he became a member of the Lok Sabha –the lower house of the Parliament of India –when he won the erstwhile Pudukottai Lok Sabha constituency. He served as Union Minister of state for shipping and later for telecommunications and information technology.
Randeep Singh Surjewala is an Indian politician from Haryana and a member of Indian National Congress party. He was an MLA in the Haryana state legislature until 2019 and a former minister. He held water supply and sanitation,parliamentary affairs,electronics and information technology,science and technology and public works as a minister in Haryana cabinet.
