Billy Hayes (born August 7, 1985) is an American musician and former drummer and back-up vocalist for Wavves and Jay Reatard. [1]

Hayes first performed in the Memphis hardcore punk band, That Was Then. Later he started playing in psychedelic pop bands MÜTZ, the Barbaras and the Boston Chinks, all based in Memphis, Tennessee. [2] [3]

Hayes played drums in Jay Reatard's band from 2005 to 2009. [4] While in Reatard's band, Hayes drummed on the Matador Singles Collection, Watch Me Fall, and a split 7-inch with Sonic Youth. Hayes and bandmate Stephen Pope quit in October 2009 before joining Wavves. In Wavves, he drummed, sang back-up vocals and wrote two songs on their third album King of the Beach : "Convertible Balloon" and "Baby Say Goodbye", the album's closing track. Hayes left Wavves in November 2010. [5] [6] Hayes' song "Stained Glass (Won't You Let Me into Your Heart)" was released on the Wavves EP "Summer is Forever" in January 2011.

Hayes has a new band called Cretin Stompers, along with Alex Gates, a guitarist for Wavves, and BIG MUFF, a musician/producer based in Brooklyn, NY. [7] Their debut LP, "Looking Forward to Being Attacked", was released in the Spring of 2014 on HoZac Records. [8]

Heathers (band)

Heathers are an indie pop act formed in 2007 in Dublin, Ireland by twin sisters Ellie and Louise Macnamara. They began writing music together in 2007 and in February 2008 recorded their debut album Here, Not There while preparing for their Leaving Certificate. The album was recorded in The Hive Studios in Kilcoole by Eoin Whitfield in a joint release between Irish Label Hide Away Records and US label Plan-It-X Records. The lead track from the album Remember When was used by the Irish Tourist Board in a major advertising campaign subsequently leading to the re-release of the album though Warner Music Ireland.

"Heard 'em All" is a single by American singer Amerie from her fourth studio album, In Love & War, released in September 2009. Travis Garland American singer and dancer (born 1989)

Travis Garland is an American singer and dancer. He is best known as the former lead singer of the boy band NLT which consisted of Kevin McHale, Justin Joseph "JJ" Thorne and V Sevani. They were discovered by Chris Stokes and signed to his TUG Entertainment-label in 2006. In May 2009, Garland confirmed on his Myspace page that the group had split. Garland is now a solo artist.

Over the Rainbow (band)

Over the Rainbow were a rock band formed in 2008 by former members of Rainbow, along with Rainbow leader Ritchie Blackmore's son Jürgen. Members include Joe Lynn Turner, Bobby Rondinelli, Tony Carey and Greg Smith. Playing lead guitar is Rainbow founder Ritchie Blackmore's son, Jürgen Blackmore. There was originally at least one member in the band from every part of Rainbow's career except for the years 1979 to 1980. In late 2009, Carey was replaced by Paul Morris. They performed songs from all eras of Rainbow's music.

<i>The Panic Broadcast</i> 2010 studio album by Soilwork

The Panic Broadcast is the eighth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Soilwork, released July 2 in Europe and July 13 in North America, 2010. The album marks the return of long-time Soilwork guitarist and founder Peter Wichers, who also picks up the role as the album's producer, though Wichers would leave Soilwork again in 2012. The album also features the debut of new guitarist Sylvain Coudret who replaced longtime guitarist Ola Frenning in 2008. Mixing was done by Jens Bogren. According to Nielsen SoundScan, The Panic Broadcast sold around 5,257 copies in its first week of sales in the United States. The album debuted at #88 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it their highest-charting album in their entire career at the time.

Fellsilent were a British heavy metal band from Milton Keynes. They possessed a technical, polyrhythmic style, similar to bands such as Meshuggah and Sikth. The band also focused on some melodic elements. They released their debut album The Hidden Words in 2008 which gained immediate popularity among metal fans. Touring with other British bands such as Enter Shikari and Exit Ten helped them to gain further popularity. In 2008, Fellsilent signed to US record label Sumerian Records.

Love It to Life is the fifth studio album by Jesse Malin. It features a collective of players and friends called "The St. Marks Social". The first single from the album will be 'Burning the Bowery'. The album was released on April 27, 2010.

Parker and Lily

Parker and Lily was an American experimental pop/rock duo originally from New York, NY and formed in 2000. Parker and Lily are not currently touring and have not released any new material since 2005; the band members are all working on other projects; Parker and Lily disbanded sometime in 2005.

<i>Must Be the Music</i>

Must Be the Music is a British television musical talent competition contested by aspiring singers and musicians drawn from public auditions. The show is a music competition and reality show that was broadcast in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Auditions were held in Edinburgh, Manchester, London and also held in Ireland. The show began airing in August on Sky1, and was also simulcast in HD. Fearne Cotton presented the show. The first and only series was won by Emma's Imagination, a female singer from Dumfries.
