Bjorn Opsahl

Bjorn Opsahl (born 10 August 1968) is a Norwegian photographer, director and lecturer from Oslo. Opsahl debuted as an artist with the exhibition "Deadscapes" in 2005 at the Henie Onstad Art Centre, and followed up with "Ask the Dust" on Stenersen Museum in 2009.

Opsahl was a judge on Norway's Next Top Model (season 4 & 5, all episodes) [1] Sweden's Next Top Model (season 4, episode 10). [2] He was also the judge and photographer for all episodes of Norway's Miss Universe pageant in 2005. [3] After moving to Los Angeles in 2008, he participated in the tattoo artist Kat Von D's television show LA Ink (Season 3, episode 13). [4] Opsahl teaches photography and directing at Nordic School of Photography in Oslo, [5] and has held a number of workshops and lectures around the country since 2005. In 2011 he started working with the Scandinavian talkshow Skavlan which ends in autumn 2014 with a book and exhibitions in Oslo and Stockholm. Opsahl are portraying Skavlan's guests backstage, and has so far worked with international celebrities such as Lionel Richie, Sir Ben Kingsley, Noel Gallagher, Petter Stordalen, Dave Grohl, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber. [6] [7] His photos are published in international magazines such as Rolling Stone , Financial Times , ' Elle and Cosmopolitan . [8]

Opsahl has no formal photography training, either from school or as an assistant. He started as a roadie for various festivals and rock concerts. [9] During a lunch break from work job he went to the local convenience store to buy a sausage and five lottery tickets. He won 25,000 NOK (approximately US$5,000) and left directly for Stockholm to party. Arriving home a few days later, he had also been bought his first camera. [8]

In 2010 he was the wedding photographer when the Norwegian Forbes-billionaire Petter Stordalen married the environmental activist Gunhild Anker Stordalen to the tune of 5 million USD in Marrakech [7]

Bjorn Opsahl also works as a director of commercials and music videos. [10] [11]

Petter Anker Stordalen is a Norwegian billionaire businessman, hotel and property developer and self-proclaimed environmentalist. He has an estimated net worth of US$1.3 billion stemming from investments in hotels, shopping centers and property. Stordalen owns Strawberry, a corporate group consisting of ten companies in real estate, finance, hotels and art. Through Strawberry Hospitality Group, Stordalen owns Nordic Choice Hotels, consisting of over 200 hotels and employing 17,000 people. In the later stages of his career, Stordalen has pursued a number of philanthropic endeavors together with his ex-wife, doctor and environmentalist Gunhild Anker Stordalen, donating large amounts of money to various charitable organizations within climate change and scientific research programs through the Stordalen Foundation, established in 2011. From October 2019 co-owner of SunClass Airlines.

The Thief (hotel)

The Thief is a luxury waterfront hotel located on Landgangen 1 on the islet of Tjuvholmen in Oslo, Norway, designed by the award-winning Mellbye Architects. The hotel opened on January 9, 2013, and is currently the only hotel designated as a Design Hotel in Norway. The Thief has 119 rooms and is a part of the Nordic Hotels & Resort chain owned by Forbes-billionaire Petter Stordalen. It is situated right next to the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, and thanks to a collaboration between the two, there is a large collection of contemporary art in the hotel. According to press reports, the hotel owned by Tjuvholmen KS had a price tag of 720 million NOK, giving each of the 119 rooms an average cost price of more than one million dollars.

Ole Jonny Eikefjord is a Norwegian chef, cookbook author and restaurateur. Together with businessman Petter Stordalen he owns restaurants Restaurant Eik, Restaurant Eik Annen Etage, Restaurant Fjord, Bella Bambina, Rodins, Teatro and Teatro Terrasse. Eikefjord has also been a regular chef on TV2's popular program Sommertid, and made the wedding dinner for the Norwegian Crown Prince couple's wedding on 25 August 2001.
