Blackman High School is a high school located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States which is operated by the Rutherford County Schools. The school was established in 2000 to complement the existing Blackman Elementary School.
Blackman High School was established in 2000 to provide a primary school for the residents living in western Rutherford County.
All classes at Blackman High have a minimum of one computer for every six students. Computers are available in the media center, foreign language lab, and technology lab. Each teacher at the school has a multimedia center that includes a TV, computer with TV out, computer network connection, and a printer. [3]
Recent[ when? ] additions to Blackman High include the construction of a new classroom wing, the "G" hall, a large band room and a field area near the cafeteria. The baseball program built a fieldhouse in 2005 and the football program finished the construction of a fieldhouse in 2010. [3]
The 2010 Blackman football team had a record of 10–1 and advanced the furthest ever in the playoffs, losing to Smyrna High School in the third round, for the second time that season.
In 2013, the Blackman football team reached the TSSAA Class 6A semifinals before falling 28–16 to eventual state champion Maryville. Blackman finished 11–3 and notched wins over Smyrna (42–0), Ravenwood (47–14), and Oakland (17–3) in the first, second, and quarterfinal rounds. [4]
Smyrna is a town in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Smyrna's population was 53,070 at the 2020 census, making it the largest town in Tennessee by population in that census. In 2007, U.S. News & World Report listed Smyrna as one of the best places in the United States to retire. Smyrna is part of the Nashville metropolitan statistical area.
Motlow State Community College is a public community college with multiple locations in southern Middle Tennessee. The main campus opened its facilities in 1969 and is located in Moore County on 187 acres of land donated by the late Senator Reagor Motlow and family. Motlow College also has learning centers in Fayetteville, McMinnville and Smyrna, a teaching site in Sparta and a partnership in Shelbyville at the Middle Tennessee Education Center.

Fort Knox Middle High School is a middle/high school in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States, serving grades 7–12 on the grounds of Fort Knox. The original building was constructed in 1958, with further additions in 1961, 1966, 1987 and 1989. In April 2009 a $18.1 million construction project funded by money from the Department of Defense Education Activity which runs the Fort Knox Community Schools system was begun to construct a new metal-roofed brick and masonry-facade two-story building, connecting to the existing vocational school and the gym. The new building replaced 71,510 square feet (6,643 m2) of the original 1958 facility. It includes 20 new classrooms, two computer labs, a commons, geothermal heating and air conditioning, recessed lockers for improved traffic flow, and specialized functional areas for art, band, science labs, and technology courses. It has a capacity of 462 students. Groundbreaking was April 2009, construction was completed in July, and the dedication ceremony was held on August 7. Most of the old high school building has been demolished.

Stewarts Creek High School is a public high school in the Rutherford County School system, located in Smyrna, Tennessee. The school opened in August 2013 with an estimate of 1500 students: 600 freshmen, around 300 sophomores and around 150 juniors and seniors. As of August 2021, SCHS currently has an enrollment of over 2,300. The school is located in southwest Smyrna, Tennessee. The students of the school come from surrounding Smyrna, LaVergne and Blackman high/middle schools as well as Rock Springs Middle School and Stewarts Creek Middle School. The current principal is Dr. Clark Harrell and the assistant principals include Dr. Brittany Anderson, Mr. Ryan Denton, Mrs. Nikki Hall, Mr. Todd Harris, and Mr. Casey Lawrence. Kevin Dyson from the Tennessee Titans served as an assistant principal and athletic director for the school's first two years. The school's rivals consist of LaVergne and nearby Smryna. The $46.3 million facility stands at an outstanding 356,000 sq. ft. sq. and is the second largest school in Middle Tennessee. The school holds one of the best fine arts programs in Middle Tennessee. This school is considered one of the best schools in Rutherford County.
Daniel Ray Spradlin is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Cardinals. Clarksville High School is a public high school located in Clarksville in Montgomery County, Tennessee. It is part of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. The original building was built in 1906 but the school moved to the current building in 1968.
