Blake Mazza (born December 8, 1998) is an American football placekicker. He previously played for the SMU, Washington State Cougars, and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Mazza attended Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a five-star recruit and the 12th best placekicker for the class of 2017 by Chris Sailer Kicking. [2]

Mazza received a scholarship offer from Army, but committed to the University of Arkansas, appearing as a walk-on for the 2017 team; he did not receive any playing time during the season. [4] [5]
On January 20, 2021, Mazza announced he would be transferring from Washington State in order to play closer to home. [6] Six days later, it was announced that Mazza would be transferring to Southern Methodist University (SMU). [7]

In gridiron football, the placekicker, or simply kicker, is the player who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In most cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist and/or less frequently also acts as the punter.
Jason Hanson is an American former professional football placekicker who spent his entire 21-year career with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football with the Washington State Cougars, he was selected by the Lions in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft with the 56th overall pick. Hanson holds the NFL record for the most seasons played with one team and also holds multiple kicking and scoring records. Due to his longevity and statistical success, even on many non-playoff teams, Hanson is often cited as one of the most-loved players in Detroit Lions franchise history.
Mark DeWayne Moseley is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. He played for Philadelphia Eagles (1970), the Houston Oilers (1971–72), the Washington Redskins (1974–86), and the Cleveland Browns (1986). A native of Livingston, Texas, Moseley played quarterback at Texas A&M University and Stephen F. Austin State University before switching to kicker for his senior season at Stephen F. Austin.
Michael Shane Hollis is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL) from 1994 to 2003. He led the NFL in scoring and becoming the most accurate kicker in NFL history during that time. He spent most of his nine-year NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, kicking for the team from 1995–2001 and setting several team records. He then played for the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants before initially retiring after an injury in 2003. He signed with the Jacksonville Sharks in 2022 after almost 20 years of retirement.
Steven Richard Little was an American football kicker and punter in the National Football League (NFL) for the St. Louis Cardinals. He is the third-highest drafted kicker in NFL history, behind Charlie Gogolak of Princeton and Russell Erxleben of Texas. Little was drafted higher than future NFL greats Ozzie Newsome and Todd Christensen.
