Blonde is the debut studio album by American country music duo Tigirlily Gold. It was released on July 26, 2024, through Monument. [1] It includes the singles "Shoot Tequila" and "I Tried a Ring On".
Kendra and Krista Slaugbaugh of Tigirlily Gold co-wrote eight of the 10 tracks on Blonde, [2] selected from an estimated 40 to 60 songs the duo had written for the record. [3] Pete Good produced tracks 2, 6, 7, and 8, while Alex Kline produced tracks 1, 3, 4, 5, and 9, with the two co-producing the album's tenth and final track, a cover of Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love". [4] Krista described the album as "all about being undeniably and unapologetically yourself", while Kendra said she "[hopes] listeners feel like they could hang out with us on a Friday night or have a heart-to-heart on a Sunday morning, that every emotion you feel is valid, that some nights you want to go shoot tequila and some nights you want to cry over a boy who shattered you. At the end of the day, no one has it all together, and we're all figuring out how to navigate love, loss, friends, memories, self-love, confidence". [2]
The album was preceded by the release of an EP, also titled Blonde, in June 2023. [5] "Shoot Tequila" and "I Tried a Ring On" were released as the album's first and second singles, respectively. "Shoot Tequila" reached a peak of number 47 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, [6] while "I Tried a Ring On" became the duo's first top 40 hit on the chart. [7] "Leroy" was also issued as a promotional single alongside the album's announcement. [2]

Eurythmics were a British pop duo formed in 1980, consisting of Scottish vocalist Annie Lennox and English musician and producer Dave Stewart. They were both previously in the Tourists, a band that broke up in 1980. They released their first studio album, In the Garden, in 1981 to little success, but achieved global acclaim with their second album, Sweet Dreams (1983). The title track became a worldwide hit, reaching number two in the UK Singles Chart, and number one in Canada and the US Billboard Hot 100. Eurythmics went on to release a string of hit singles and albums, including "Love Is a Stranger", "There Must Be an Angel " and "Here Comes the Rain Again", before splitting in 1990.
Lonestar is an American country music group from Texas. The group consists of Drew Womack, Michael Britt, Dean Sams, and Keech Rainwater (drums). Britt, Sams, and Rainwater co-founded the band in 1992 with original lead vocalist Richie McDonald and bass guitarist/vocalist John Rich. Rich exited the band in 1998 and went on to join Big Kenny as one-half of the duo Big & Rich. Since his departure, Lonestar has relied alternatingly on session and touring musicians for bass guitar accompaniment. McDonald exited the band in 2007 to record as a solo artist, and was replaced by former McAlyster vocalist Cody Collins before returning in 2011. McDonald left a second time in 2021 to join The Frontmen, with former Sons of the Desert lead vocalist Drew Womack replacing him.

It peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album spawned two top 40 hits, "Dumb Blonde" and "Something Fishy", which peaked at numbers 24 and 17, respectively.
Lisa Ann Brokop is a Canadian country music singer/songwriter and actress. Active since 1990 in the country music field, she has released a total of seven studio albums and has charted more than twenty singles on the country music charts in her native Canada. Several of these singles have also crossed over to the American country music charts, although she has not entered the Top 40 in the U.S.; her highest-charting songs, "Give Me a Ring Sometime" and "Take That", both peaked at No. 52 in 1994. Her highest chart single is the No. 8 "Better Off Broken" from 1999 in Canada.
Bomshel was an American country music duo founded in 2005 by lead vocalist Buffy "Buf" Lawson and backing vocalist/fiddle player Kristy Osmunson. Signed to Curb Records in 2005, Bomshel's original lineup charted four singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and recorded an unreleased album called Bomshel Stomp. One of their songs, "The Power of One", was included in the soundtrack to the film Evan Almighty. Lawson departed in December 2007, and Kelley Shepard was chosen as her replacement. The new lineup of Shepard and Osmunson released four more singles, including "Fight Like a Girl" and "19 and Crazy," both of which reached the Country Top 40. In October 2009, Bomshel released its debut album, also titled Fight Like a Girl. Bomshel released Hallleluy'all in 2012 before disbanding, and Osmunson founded a second duo called American Young.
John & Audrey Wiggins was an American country music duo formerly signed to Mercury Records. The duo consisted of John Wiggins and his sister Audrey, both of whom alternated as lead vocalists. They recorded two studio albums for PolyGram/Mercury Records between 1994 and 1997, in addition to charting four singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. John has since become a Nashville songwriter, with cuts by Joe Nichols, Blake Shelton, Randy Houser, and others.

It was recorded between June and November 2012, during promotion of her sixth studio album, Talk That Talk (2011). As executive producer, Rihanna enlisted previous collaborators The-Dream, David Guetta, Chase & Status, and Stargate to work alongside new collaborators such as Parker Ighile, Mike Will Made It, and Labrinth. Unapologetic is primarily a pop, synth-pop, and R&B album that incorporates elements of hip hop, EDM, dubstep, rock and reggae in its production, merging the sound of her previous albums Talk That Talk (2011), Loud (2010) and Rated R (2009).
