Blood and Fire is the third album by the British rock band The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster. It was released on 10 May 2010 by Black Records and the band's own label, No Death Records. It was released as a Digipak CD and as an LP on coloured vinyl with a bonus poster.

It was the band's first major album release since the departure of guitarist Andy Huxley in 2004. The album was recorded in France by the band and in London by Thomas Mitchener. Both sessions were mixed by Kevin Vanbergen. The album's first single, "Love Turns To Hate", was released on 10 May 2010 and is available as a digital download or on orange vinyl.

The album was ranked 17th out of 25 in the Best Garage Rock Albums of All Time category by the Album of the Year [6] and it was ranked as number one in the 2010 Best Garage Rock Albums category. [7]

Bathory were a Swedish black metal band formed in Vällingby in March 1983. Named after Hungarian countess Elizabeth Báthory, they are considered pioneers of black metal and Viking metal. The White Stripes American rock duo

The White Stripes were an American rock duo from Detroit formed in 1997. The group consisted of Jack White and Meg White. After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit music scene, the White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002 as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful and critically acclaimed albums White Blood Cells and Elephant drew attention from a large variety of media outlets in the United States and the United Kingdom. The single "Seven Nation Army", which used a guitar and an octave pedal to create the opening riff, became one of their most recognizable songs. The band recorded two more albums, Get Behind Me Satan in 2005 and Icky Thump in 2007, and dissolved in 2011 after a lengthy hiatus from performing and recording.

The Hives are a Swedish rock band that rose to prominence in the early 2000s during the garage rock revival. Their mainstream success came with the release of the album Veni Vidi Vicious, containing the single "Hate to Say I Told You So". The band has been acclaimed by music critics as one of the best live rock bands.

Pere Ubu American rock band

Pere Ubu is an American rock group formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1975. The band had a variety of long-term and recurring band members, with singer David Thomas being the only member staying throughout the band's lifetime. They released their debut album The Modern Dance in 1978 and followed with several more LPs before disbanding in 1982. Thomas reformed the group in 1987, continuing to record and tour.

Guitar Wolf Japanese rock band

Guitar Wolf is a Japanese garage rock power trio founded in Tokyo in 1987. They coined the phrase "jet rock 'n' roll", which they use to describe their musical style. The band is signed to Sony Music Japan's Ki/oon Records division.

Gothabilly Music genre

Gothabilly is an offshoot of psychobilly influenced by the goth subculture. The name is a portmanteau word that combines gothic and rockabilly, first used by the Cramps in the late 1970s to describe their somber blend of rockabilly and punk rock. Since then the term has come to describe a fashion style influenced by gothic fashion, as seen in its use of black silks, satins, lace and velvet, corsets, top hats, antique jewellery, PVC, and leather.

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster were an English rock band from Brighton, formed in 1999. They released three albums, Hörse of the Dög (2002), The Royal Society (2004) and Blood and Fire (2010).

The Duke Spirit are an English rock band based in London. Their sound has been seen as a melding of influences ranging from alternative rock bands such as The Jesus and Mary Chain and Spiritualized, the tremulous rock'n'roll of bands such as The Gun Club and The Patti Smith Group, to distinctive rhythmic Atlantic soul and Motown influences. Band members Liela Moss and Toby Butler also perform together in the electro-rock duo Roman Remains.

"Fell in Love with a Girl" is a song by the American garage rock band the White Stripes, written and produced by Jack White for the band's third studio album, White Blood Cells (2001). Hater was an American rock supergroup that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1993. The band formed as a side project mostly under the direction of Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepherd. In the Garden is an extended play by English rock band The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster. Released in 2007, it was the band's first release since Andy Huxley departed the band and was replaced by Rich Fownes in 2005. A 15-venue tour took place between July and August 2007 to promote the EP.

Vile Imbeciles are an English rock band from Brighton formed in 2005 consisting of ex-The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster guitarist Andy Huxley on guitar and vocals, Evan Reinhold on drums and Deen Lim on bass guitar and vocals.

Skintight Jaguars were an English hard rock/punk band from London, England. They are currently on an indefinite hiatus. The last line-up consisted of guitarist/vocalist Ryan Simmonds, bassist Matt Valentine and drummer J Machete. Original singer Kip Legend left the band in 2009 after relocating to Oslo, Norway.

Royal Blood (band) English rock duo

Royal Blood are an English rock duo formed by Mike Kerr and Matt Swan (drums) in Worthing in 2011. The current lineup consists of Kerr and Ben Thatcher, who replaced Swan in 2013 prior to the band being signed by Warner Records. Their sound is anchored by Kerr's unique bass playing style, which sees him using various effects pedals and amps to make his bass guitar sound like a standard electric guitar and bass guitar at the same time. Their self-titled debut album was released in August 2014, with their second album How Did We Get So Dark? following in June 2017, and their third album Typhoons in April 2021.
