Blue Skies is a 1929 American Synchronized sound drama film directed by Alfred L. Werker and starring Carmencita Johnson, Freddie Burke Frederick, and Ethel Wales. [1] While the film has no audible dialog, it was released with a synchronized musical score with sound effects using the sound-on-film Movietone process. The film is based on a short story called The Matron's Report by Frederick Hazlitt Brennan. [2] The short story also formed the basis for 1936's Little Miss Nobody . [2] [3]
