Wilson-Tuscarora State Park

Wilson-Tuscarora State Park is a 485-acre (1.96 km2) state park in Niagara County, New York. The park is located on the west side of the Village of Wilson along the south shore of Lake Ontario. Lake Road passes through the park. The park was formed in 1965 on what was previously a sheep farm. Although part of the park may have been a sheep farm multiple families and homes were uprooted by eminent domain used by the state. There was a vision to interconnect a park system along the Great Lakes by a parkway but none existed at the time. Parks had to created. The driving culture of the past never materialized so the parkway was never completed. Push back from area towns who didn’t wish to be cut off from their lakefront was a major issue for the state. The area had previously been a beautiful cottage and home residential area. A golf course existed and some businesses.

Free access was standard For the park until minor improvements were made. Now a charge to enter has reduced use to the boat launch or reserved parties. Mainly ignored by the locals who used the park as a social hub for many years it has become another state waste of natural resources. Visitation numbers are inaccurate due to families that live on Sunset island are required to enter the park to get to their homes and are tabulated into visits. Use of the boat launch is also entered although none use the Park itself but head out to the lake. The true use of the Actual park land will remain unknown due to this. 
Fair Haven Beach State Park

Fair Haven Beach State Park is a 1,141-acre (4.62 km2) state park on the southeastern shore of Lake Ontario in upstate New York. It is located on the east side of Little Sodus Bay in the town of Sterling in Cayuga County, northeast of the village of Fair Haven. The southern part of the park is sometimes called Fair Haven State Park.

A houseboat is a boat that has been designed or modified to be used primarily as a home. Some houseboats are not motorized, because they are usually moored, kept stationary at a fixed point and often tethered to land to provide utilities. However, many are capable of operation under their own power. Float house is a Canadian and American term for a house on a float (raft); a rough house may be called a shanty boat. In Western countries, houseboats tend to be either owned privately or rented out to holiday-goers, and on some canals in Europe, people dwell in houseboats all year round. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, Amsterdam, London, and Paris.

Legoland Windsor Resort Lego theme park in Windsor, Berkshire, England

Legoland Windsor Resort, also known as Legoland Windsor, is a child-orientated theme park and resort in Windsor, Berkshire in England, themed around the Lego toy system. The park opened on 17 March 1996 on the former Windsor Safari Park site as the second Legoland after Legoland Billund in Denmark. In common with the other Legoland Resorts across the world, the park's attractions consist of a mixture of Lego-themed rides, models, and building workshops. The park was acquired by Merlin Entertainments in 2005, which now operates the park, with the Lego Group retaining part ownership (30%). The facilities are mainly targeted at children between three and twelve.

Lake Murray (Oklahoma) United States historic place

Lake Murray is a 5,700-acre (23 km2) lake in south central Oklahoma, near Ardmore named for Oklahoma Governor William H. Murray. It was created by damming Anadarche and Fourche Maline Creeks. The lake is wholly within Lake Murray State Park, Oklahoma's largest state park, containing over 12,500 acres (51 km²) of relative wilderness. A state-operated lodge and resort is located on the west shore that serves many visitors to the lake, and serves as a base for numerous cabin and campground facilities near the lake.

Heaton Park

Heaton Park is a municipal park in Manchester, England, covering an area of over 600 acres (242.8 ha). The park includes the grounds of a Grade I listed, neoclassical 18th century country house, Heaton Hall. The hall, remodelled by James Wyatt in 1772, is now only open to the public on an occasional basis as a museum and events venue.

St Georges Park, Bristol

St George Park is a park on the eastern edge of the inner city in Bristol, England, in St George. Built on land that was originally The Fire Engine Farm, the park had many architectural features. All that remains of these is three of the original gate pillars at the main Church Road entrance. Many old photographs of the park show that it was a popular area in Edwardian times. The St George Library is situated on the edge the park, on Church Road.

Lake Needwood

Lake Needwood is a 75-acre (300,000 m2) reservoir in Derwood, Maryland, United States. Located east of Rockville, in the eastern part of Montgomery County, it is situated on Rock Creek. The lake was created by damming Rock Creek in 1965 with the goal of providing flood control and reducing soil erosion. Lake Needwood also protects the water quality of the creek by functioning as a retention basin to trap sediment from storm-water runoff.

Peasholm Park Park in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England

Peasholm Park is an oriental themed municipal park located in the seaside town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. It opened in 1912 and became a favourite venue for galas, displays and exhibitions. The park was extended to include Peasholm Glen, a natural ravine, in 1924. Attractions include an artificial boating lake, where mock naval battles are staged, a putting green and a champion tree walk. The park suffered a decline in popularity from the 1970s as the number of holidaymakers visiting Scarborough decreased but it has recently been restored using Heritage Lottery Funding.

Spreckels Lake

The Spreckels Lake Model Yacht Facility, commonly referred to as "Spreckels Lake", is an artificial reservoir behind an earthen dam and adjoining clubhouse situated on the northern side of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Completed in mid-March 1904, the reservoir was built for the use of model boaters of all ages, interests, and skill levels, designed specifically for racing model sail and power boats and to propagate the skills and crafts necessary to build and sail competitive model boats of all types. The Spreckels Lake Model Yacht Facility is considered one of the finest examples and one of the most beautiful of the naturalistically styled, man-made model boating facilities in the world and is always open to anyone wishing to sail its waters with few restrictions. The facility is also the permanent home to the San Francisco Model Yacht Club (SFMYC), the organization at whose request Spreckels Lake and the adjoining clubhouses were built and whose history is and always will be irrevocably intertwined with the history of the facility.

Highfields Park, Nottingham Park in Nottingham, England

Highfields Park is Grade II listed park providing 121 acres (49 ha) of public space, in the west of Nottingham, England. It is owned and maintained by Nottingham City Council. It located alongside University Boulevard, adjoining the University of Nottingham's University Park campus. Due to its proximity to the university campus to the north, Highfields Park appears to be a part of the campus itself and therefore many refer to the whole area as University Park. There are historical ties between the park and the campus. The park contains a boating lake, complete with boats to hire throughout the summer months. The cascade and the stepping stones at the western end are Grade II listed. To the south of the lake the Tottle Brook, a tributary of the River Trent, flows on the surface, this brook is culverted for much of its length. At the eastern end there are children's play facilities and a pavilion with a cafe.

Gardner Lake State Park park in New London County, Connecticut, United States of America

Gardner Lake State Park is a public recreation area occupying 10 acres (4.0 ha) on the southern edge of Gardner Lake in the town of Salem, Connecticut. The state park offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming and is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Nathan Benderson Park

Nathan Benderson Park, previously known as North Metro Park and then Cooper Creek Park, is a 600-acre (240 ha) park that incorporates a 400-acre (160 ha) artificial lake in Sarasota, Florida, USA. The lake was excavated to provide fill for the construction of Interstate 75. The lake is a rowing venue and hosted the 2017 World Rowing Championships.
