Bob Koch is an American politician from Oregon who served as a member of the Portland City Commission for one term from 1987 to 1990. [1] Before serving as a City Commissioner,Koch worked for the Portland Police Bureau. [2]
Koch is most notable for his attempt to ban the use of styrofoam in Portland restaurants. Koch eventually abandoned the proposal but it was reintroduced by Commissioner Earl Blumenauer and was put into effect on January 1,1990. [3]

The Willamette Shore Trolley is a heritage railroad or heritage streetcar that operates along the west bank of the Willamette River between Portland and Lake Oswego in the U.S. state of Oregon. The right-of-way is owned by a group of local-area governments who purchased it in 1988 in order to preserve it for potential future rail transit. After retiring from politics in 1992,Bauman began organizing bicycle tours and was a founder of Portland Bridge Pedal,an annual bicycle tour crossing all the bridges in Portland.
Canterbury Castle,also known as Arlington Castle,was a private house located in southwest Portland,Oregon and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Constructed during 1929–1931,the house was designed by Jeter O. Frye to resemble England's Canterbury Castle on the exterior and to evoke the Art Deco styling of Hollywood of the 1920s on the interior. The house included castle features such as a moat,drawbridge and turret and attracted paying tourists immediately following its completion.
