Robert Colin Wilson (born 18 February 1928),known as Bob Wilson,is a former cricketer who played for Kent County Cricket Club from 1952 to 1967. Born in Bapchild in Kent in 1928,he appeared in 365 first-class cricket matches for the county as well as in five List A cricket matches towards the end of his career. He was awarded his county cap in 1954. [1]
Wilson was a very straight batsman who was never afraid to attack. He scored 1,000 runs in a season in thirteen consecutive years,with a best of 2,038 at an average of 46.31 in 1964. His 19,458 runs for Kent in first-class cricket is the eighth in Kent's all-time list. [2] [3]
Leslie Ethelbert George Ames was a wicket-keeper and batsman for the England cricket team and Kent County Cricket Club. In his obituary,Wisden described him as the greatest wicket-keeper-batsman of all time. He is the only wicket-keeper-batsman to score a hundred first-class centuries.

Frank Edward Woolley was an English professional cricketer who played for Kent County Cricket Club between 1906 and 1938 and for the England cricket team. A genuine all-rounder,Woolley was a left-handed batsman and a left-arm bowler. He was an outstanding fielder close to the wicket and is the only non wicket-keeper to have held over 1,000 catches in a first-class career,whilst his total number of runs scored is the second highest of all time and his total number of wickets taken the 27th highest.
Harold Thomas William Hardinge,known as Wally Hardinge,was an English professional sportsman who played both cricket and association football for England. His professional cricket career lasted from 1902 to 1933 during which he played first-class cricket for Kent County Cricket Club and made one Test match appearance for England. He was described as being "for years ... one of the leading opening batsmen in England".
Darren Ian Stevens is an English cricketer. An all-rounder,he bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium-pace. Since his debut in first-class cricket he has played county cricket for Leicestershire and Kent,as well as featuring for the England Lions and winning the Bangladesh Premier League with both Dhaka Gladiators and Comilla Victorians. Stevens was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in the 2021 edition of the almanack.
Frederick Gerald Hudson Chalk,born Gerald Frederick Hudson Chalk and known as Gerry Chalk,was an English amateur cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played first-class cricket for Oxford University,Kent County Cricket Club and MCC between 1931 and 1939,captaining both Oxford and Kent. Chalk died in 1943,shot down over northern France whilst serving as a Spitfire pilot in the Royal Air Force.
Sam Alexander Northeast is an English professional cricket who plays for Glamorgan County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman. Northeast made his senior debut in 2007 and until 2017 played for Kent County Cricket Club. He captained the Kent First XI for most of the 2015 season before being formally appointed as club captain in 2016. He captained the side in 2017 before being replaced before the 2018 season after declining to sign a contract extension committing himself to the club in the longer term.

In addition,before the start of the English cricket season,Kent competed in the 2016–17 Regional Super50,the List A competition of the West Indian domestic season. This was the first time that any English county had competed in an overseas domestic competition. The invitation to take part in the tournament was largely due to the influence of former West Indian captain Jimmy Adams who had been Kent's Head Coach until September 2016.
