Bob Woods (born January 24, 1968) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player. He was the assistant coach of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League. He is a former National Hockey League assistant coach with the Buffalo Sabres, Anaheim Ducks and Washington Capitals.
Born in 1968 in Leroy, Saskatchewan, Woods played in the Western Hockey League with the Brandon Wheat Kings. He was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 10th round (201st overall) of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft and began his professional career in 1989 with the Utica Devils of the American Hockey League. Woods played the majority of his professional career in the ECHL where he played 599 games, scored 159 goals and 364 assists for 523 points, and earned 538 minutes in penalties. In 2012, Woods was honoured when he was inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame. [1]
He has been head coach of the Mississippi Sea Wolves, Hershey Bears, and Saskatoon Blades. [2]
His son Brendan Woods was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 5th round (129th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. [3]

Wendel L. Clark is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. His professional career lasted from 1985 until 2000, during which time he played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Quebec Nordiques, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. He was chosen first overall in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft by the Maple Leafs, the team he played with on three occasions, captaining the team from 1991 to 1994. Clark is a fan favourite in Toronto, continuing to represent the Maple Leafs at public events.
Richard Dorian Matvichuk is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman. He played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League with the Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars, and the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League.
Trent G. Yawney is a Canadian professional hockey coach and a former defenceman. He is currently assistant coach for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), and has previously served as the head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks, a professional scout for the Anaheim Ducks, assistant coach with the San Jose Sharks, Edmonton Oilers and the Anaheim Ducks.
The Sutter family, originally from Viking, Alberta, Canada, are one of the most famous families in the National Hockey League (NHL). Six brothers: Brent, Brian, Darryl, Duane, Rich and Ron, reached the NHL in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Four brothers, Brian, Duane, Darryl and Brent, have gone on to become coaches and general managers as well, with Brian, Darryl, and Brent each having a stint as head coach of the Calgary Flames. All brothers played for either the Chicago Blackhawks or the St. Louis Blues at one point or another. A seventh brother named Gary is said by his brothers to have been the best hockey player of all seven boys. Rather than making his living as a hockey player, Gary stayed home to work on the family farm, as Rich remarked on an episode of the Canadian sports show Off the Record.
Dean Clement Evason is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He most recently served as head coach of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). Evason was selected by the Washington Capitals in the fifth round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Evason was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, but grew up in Brandon, Manitoba.
