Bobby's Burger Palace (BBP) is an upscale group of fast casual restaurants founded by Chef Bobby Flay with a focus on hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes. [1] The first location opened in 2006 at the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, New Jersey. [2] Most locations closed permanently during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a new fast food variation of the concept was launched in 2021 under the name Bobby's Burgers.
Most of Bobby's Burger Palace's locations were in New England and the Mid-Atlantic States before the company began expansion outside the area, with locations at the Dadeland Mall in Miami and at the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati in Ohio which both opened in 2013, [3] [4] and a location on the Las Vegas Strip which opened in 2014. By 2015, the chain had 19 locations in 10 states and Washington, D.C.. [6] It closed an outlet at Long Island's Roosevelt Field in June 2019. [7] The brand's initial Lake Grove location closed in mid 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [8] Additional closures occurred during the pandemic until only two locations remained as of September 2022, at Mohegan Sun, a casino, in Connecticut and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia. Bobby Flay opened a fast food variant of the concept called Bobby's Burgers in 2021 initially located in food courts and sports venues. Flay described it as "the next generation of Bobby's Burger Palace, with a fresh identity thanks to new, sleek branding, and a simplified menu featuring our greatest hits." [10] As of November 2024, there are three locations in Las Vegas, and one each in New York's Yankee Stadium, Atlantic City, New Orleans, and Phoenix, Arizona. [11]

Fuddruckers is an American fast casual, franchised restaurant chain that specializes in hamburgers. The Fuddruckers concept is to offer large hamburgers in which the meat is ground on-site and buns are baked on the premises. As of 2019, Fuddruckers had 49 company-operated restaurants and 107 franchises across the United States and around the world. The company headquarters is in Houston, Texas. On September 8, 2020, Fuddruckers owner Luby's, Inc. announced that they planned to liquidate existing assets, including Fuddruckers' assets, distributing the proceeds to investors after the proposed sale of the chains. On June 21, 2021, Black Titan Franchise Systems announced a deal to acquire Fuddruckers for $18.5 million.
