Sveriges Television AB, shortened to SVT, is the Swedish national public television broadcaster, funded by a public service tax on personal income set by the Riksdag. Prior to 2019, SVT was funded by a television licence fee payable by all owners of television sets. The Swedish public broadcasting system is largely modelled after the system used in the United Kingdom, and Sveriges Television shares many traits with its British counterpart, the BBC.

On her seventh attempt, she won Melodifestivalen in 2014 with the song "Undo" and so represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, finishing in 3rd place overall. Sanna was one of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 commentators for Sweden and hosted Melodifestivalen 2015 along with comedian Robin Paulsson. She was announced as the new presenter for the sing-along show Allsång på Skansen for the summer of 2016. She hosted Eurovision The Party at the Tele2 Arena for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.
Musikhjälpen is a Swedish televised benefit performance radio show marathon. The annually recurring show is a charity fundraiser for a chosen cause, the cause is changed each year. Three radio hosts or television personalities are locked inside a glass building for 144 hours. Each presenter acts as a host for eight hours respectively, totaling three shifts per day. It is broadcast in December, during one week, with dates varying each year.
Bengt Walter Feldreich was a Swedish radio and television journalist, television presenter and producer. He worked in public service between 1950 until 1985, well-known for the interview roundtable programme "Snillen spekulerar" on SVT, as well as narrating the annual Christmas Eve broadcasts from the same channel.
The Gender War is a documentary in two parts by journalist Evin Rubar on radical feminism in Sweden and its influence on Swedish politics. It was produced by Nordisk Film and broadcast by Sveriges Television in the series Dokument inifrån on 15 and 22 May 2005. The Gender War was also part of Evin Rubar being awarded the TV award Kristallen and Sveriges Television's equality award the same year.
Elisabet Höglund is a Swedish author and political journalist, working in Swedish television and radio as a reporter. She started her career at SVT, later becoming a freelance journalist. She has written a number of books including an autobiography, and has organised many exhibitions of her own paintings; she is also a former road bicycle racer. She competed in Let's Dance during 2009 on TV4, teaming up with professional dancer Tobias Karlsson. Höglund and Karlsson placed fourth in the competition.
Anna Maria Kitty Skura Jutbring is a Swedish reality television contestant, radio and television host, singer and DJ. She became known in Sweden after being a housemate on Big Brother in 2002, and has since become a radio and television host by hosting shows on Sveriges Radio P3 and SVT. Jutbring has hosted shows like Musikhjälpen on television and Christer on radio.
Lotta Mari Johansen Lundgren née Bergqvist is a Swedish television presenter and food writer. Lundgren was born and raised in Tuve, a Gothenburg suburb. Lundgren has written a cook book. She has hosted the shows Landet Brunsås and currently Historieätarna along with Erik Haag both on SVT. In 2015, the duo presented Tusen år till julafton a Christmas calendar which was broadcast on SVT. The same production team is also behind Bye bye Sverige about the Swedish-American emigration 1850–1910 which premiered on Swedish Television on 7 December 2017. In 2020, Lotta and Erik Haag participated in Filip and Fredrik's Alla mot alla, where they won the final against Gry Forssell and Mikael Tornving. The team also won the season the following year by Alla mot alla.
Karin Signhild Hermansson, better known as Kakan Hermansson, is a Swedish television presenter, radio host, comedian and artist. She has had her own television show on Sveriges Television (SVT) called Kaka på Kaka and has worked on shows for both Sveriges Radio and TV4. A graduate of the Stockholm art academy Konstfack, she works with a feminist art collective and has exhibited her art in various places. She calls herself a radical feminist.
Shima Niavarani is an Iranian-Swedish actress and singer. She has performed in theater, film, television and radio in over 40 productions. Niavarani got her breakthrough at the age of nineteen in the play Autodidakt i enmansakt which she directed and played in. She toured with the play for over a year and her work received several awards. She is perhaps most known for her solo-musical Shima Niavarani är en Übermensch which was broadcast on SVT in 2010, and for her role as "Maiken" in the TV4 series Allt faller which was directed by Henrik Schyffert.
