Bombora is the debut studio album by South Korean band Seaweed Mustache. The album was released on 15 September 2022. [1]
Seaweed Mustache goes on a six-year hiatus despite being well received by critics through its 2016 EP The Whistle. [2] Member Jeong Jooyi interviewed about the period, saying that she had a break due to her childbirth and childcare, and that it was not easy to return. [1] In 2016, the band acted as a duo, and after their return in 2022, Lee Wanki and Ban Jaehyeon joined as new members. [3]
Cho Ildong of Music Y reviewed "The energy delivered by Seaweed Mustache in Bombora is like the winter night sea, where the height and direction of waves that occur countless times are uncontrollable, and the energy of the huge water column is heavy and terrifyingly delivered even in pitch-black darkness." [4] Cho Jihwan of Tonplein said "2022 was a year when albums of similar genres were released with quite high frequency, but Bombora is the hottest and most intense album among them." [5] The member of the selection committee for the 2023 Korean Music Awards Lim Heeyoon described the album as "The fresh frequency division of drums, bass guitars, and guitars leads listeners to a very unfamiliar space," and the album was nominated for Best Metal & Hardcore Album. The Atlantics are an Australian surf band founded in 1961. Initially, the band line-up consisted of drummer Peter Hood, bassist Bosco Bosanac, Theo Penglis on lead and rhythm guitar, and guitarist Eddy Matzenik. Matzenik was replaced by Jim Skaithitis while the band was still in its earliest stages, long before the band recorded or released albums. The band's claim to fame was as Australia's most successful of the genre. Most well known for their classic hit, "Bombora", their later recordings such as "Come On" are examples of 1960s garage rock. They were the first Australian rock band to write their own hits. In 2000 the group reformed with three of the original members, and continue to release new material and perform in concert. In 2013 the group celebrated the 50th Anniversary of their first album, Bombora and the eponymous single that was their first to chart. A European tour was organised to mark the occasion.

F.T. Island, is a South Korean rock band formed by FNC Entertainment in 2007. The band currently consists of main vocalist Lee Hong-gi, bassist Lee Jae-jin, and drummer Choi Min-hwan. Guitarist Oh Won-bin left the band in 2009 and was replaced by Song Seung-hyun. Former leader Choi Jong-hoon left the band and retired from the entertainment industry on March 14, 2019, while Seung-hyun left the group on December 31, 2019, to pursue his acting career.
