The Borel-Boccaccio Type 3000, also known as Borel C2, was a two-seat fighter designed and built in France to a 1918 C2 specification.
In 1918 Borel responded to two specifications for fighter aircraft, one single seat with provision for a rear gunner and another two-seater. Two almost identical designs emerged to meet these specifications, the Borel C1 and Borel C2. [1]
The C1 was designed with two fixed synchronised machine-guns, or a single machine-gun with a 37 mm (1.457 in) cannon firing through the propeller boss. Two additional machine-guns were also proposed, fired by a second crewman seated behind the pilot, known as a single-seat protégé, which mirrored the C2 specification. Development of the sole C1 was abandoned with the armistice in favour of the almost identical C2. [1]
The C2 was a two-seat fighter very similar to the C1 but with a gun ring in a separate cockpit behind the pilot and a revised cabane strut arrangement. The two-bay biplane wings had moderate stagger and were attached to the lower fuselage longerons and to the upper longerons with cabane struts under the centre section. Power was supplied by a 300 hp (220 kW) Hispano-Suiza 8Fb driving a 2-bladed wooden propeller with a large spinner. The wooden fuselage was covered in fabric and housed two jettisonable fuel tanks and, initially, a ventral radiator for the closely cowled Hispano-Suiza 8Fb and fixed 7.7 mm (0.303 in) Vickers machine-gun. Provision for two cameras was made under the pilots seat and the rear gunner had two 7.7 mm (0.30 in) guns on a T.O.3 gun ring. [1]
Testing of the Type 3000 revealed that the aircraft met the armament requirements of the specification and that the structure had a load factor of seven (could withstand 7g). Modifications included replacing the ventral radiator with two Lamblin radiators mounted on the undercarriage legs, shortened exhaust manifolds and an extra strut supporting the tailplane. Despite exceeding the performance requirements the Type 3000 was not ordered for production due to the SPAD S.XX, beating Borel to the post, having been flown and tested in 1918. [1]

The Avia BH-21 was a fighter biplane designed and produced by the Czechoslovakian aircraft manufacturer Avia. First flown in January 1925, it served an important role in securing Czechoslovak national security during the Interwar period.
The Blériot-SPAD S.81 was a French fighter aircraft developed in 1923 to a requirement by the French Air Force. It was flown competitively against the Dewoitine D.1 and was selected over that aircraft due to the Dewoitine's more radical design, leading to an order for 80 aircraft. The S.81 was a single-bay biplane of conventional configuration with I-shaped interplane struts and lacking Herbemont's usual swept upper wing. It featured a wooden fuselage of monocoque construction and metal wings skinned in fabric. Production versions differed from the prototypes in having a lengthened fuselage and larger tail fin.

The Descamps 27 C1 was a single seat biplane fighter aircraft, built in France in 1919. It was unusual in having a forward swept lower wing. After competitive trials, the Nieuport 29 was chosen for production, so only one Descamps was built.
The de Marçay 2 C1 was a prototype single-seat biplane fighter designed in France and first flown in 1919. It did not go into production.
The de Marçay 4 was a single seat monoplane fighter built in France in 1923 for a government competition. It did not receive a production contract.
The Les Mureaux 3 C.2 and Les Mureaux 4 C.2 were French two seat, parasol winged fighters, flown in 1927-8, which differed only in their engines. They were developed into near identical army co-operation types, the ANF Les Mureaux 130 A.2 and ANF Les Mureaux 131 A.2, in 1929–31.
The Aviméta 88 was an all-metal French two-seat reconnaissance-fighter or heavy fighter tested in 1927.
The Villiers VIII or 8amC1 was a French shipboard fighter capable of alighting on water. After competitive tests, it did not receive a production order.
The Nieuport-Delage NiD 580 R.2 was a contender for a French government contract for a long range, two seat reconnaissance aircraft, issued in 1928. There were eight prototypes in the 1931-2 contest and the NiD 580 was not selected for production.
The Blériot Bl.73, Bl.74, Bl.75 and Bl.76 were large First World War French biplanes designed and built by Blériot. The Bl.73 was built to the BN.3 three-seat night bomber specification, the Bl.74 was to be a bomber-transport, the Bl.75 Aerobus was to be an airliner, while the unbuilt Bl.76 was intended for the BN.4 four-seat night bomber specification. Aside from the Bl.76, just one prototype was built of each type, with both Bl.73 and Bl.74 prototypes being lost in accidents while on test flights.
