He initially joined to replace Adrian Smith, but remained in the band after Smith rejoined. Gers was previously a member of Gillan and co-founder of the band White Spirit in 1975.

"Jerusalem" from this concert was later released on The Best of Bruce Dickinson compilation album in 2001.

They are best known for their first three albums with future Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson, then known as "Bruce Bruce", and drummer Thunderstick, who wore a leather mask and performed on stage in a metal cage. Drummer Clive Burr was also a member of the band, both before and after his tenure with Iron Maiden. "The Wicker Man" is a song by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It was released on 8 May 2000 as the first single and opening track from their twelfth studio album, Brave New World (2000). It preceded the release of Brave New World by three weeks. It is also the first single by the band since 1989's single "Infinite Dreams" to feature "The Trooper"-era lineup with vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith returning to the band in 1999. It was co-written by Smith, Dickinson and Steve Harris. It was co-produced by Kevin Shirley and Harris. The title is inspired by the British cult film of the same name. The song should not be confused with "Wicker Man" from Dickinson's solo career, the lyrics of which are more closely themed around the film. It was released on 19 June 2006 and features a special cardboard sleeve and an 8-page booklet. A 1990 review published in The Georgia Straight, says the song takes a not-so-subtle stab at the excesses of the L.A. rock ’n’ roll lifestyle, particularly that led by Vince Neil and his Motley gang. Nikki Sixx has said that he heard the song is about him, inspired by Dickinson's then-wife cheating on him with Sixx, though Sixx claims Dickinson found out about the affair after reading The Dirt.
Skunkworks Live Video is the name of a live video by British singer Bruce Dickinson. It was released in 1997 in Japan only. The live performance was filmed in Pamplona and Gerona, Spain on 31 May and 1 June 1996. The backing band, which went under the name "Skunkworks", was Alex Dickson on guitars, Chris Dale as bassist, and Alessandro Elena as the drummer. The recording was originally created for the four-track EP version to be released only in Japan. The show was directed by Julian Doyle and produced by Jeremy Azis.
Dive! Dive! Live! is the first live video recorded by heavy metal singer Bruce Dickinson. It was filmed at Wolf & Rissmiller's Country Club on Sherman Way, Reseda, California, on 14 August 1990, while finishing the Tattooed Millionaire US tour leg. The video was produced by Paul Flattery and directed by Jim Yukich—who also worked on Iron Maiden's Live After Death—and the backing band was the same as on "Tattooed Millionaire", save drummer Dickie Fliszar, who replaced Fabio del Rio to perform during the tour. The set-list consisted practically of all the songs from the Tattooed Millionaire sessions, except for "Darkness Be My Friend" from "All The Young Dudes" single. It included "Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter" and some cover versions played throughout the tour, like Deep Purple's "Black Night", AC/DC's "Sin City". "Riding with the Angels" is a song composed while Dickinson still played with Samson.
Alive is a comprehensive three-disc box set by English heavy metal singer Bruce Dickinson. It features the singer's 1990s three solo live performances: Alive in Studio A, Alive at the Marquee, and Scream for Me Brazil. It was released on 21 June 2005, just a month after the release of Tyranny of Souls.
