Born on the Wrong Planet is the 1997 debut album of The String Cheese Incident.
The String Cheese Incident (SCI) is an American band from Crested Butte and Telluride, Colorado, formed in 1993. The band is composed of Michael Kang, Michael Travis, Bill Nershi, Kyle Hollingsworth, and Keith Moseley, and, in 2004, Jason Hann.

Keller Williams is an American singer, songwriter and musician who combines elements of bluegrass, folk, alternative rock, reggae, electronica/dance, jazz, funk, along with other assorted genres. He is often described as a 'one-man jam-band' due to his frequent use of live phrase looping with multiple instruments. Keller Williams was born in Fredricksburg, Virginia on February 4, 1970 and began playing the guitar in his early teens. He later matriculated to Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia Beach where he received his degree in theater. After college, he moved to Colorado to advance his music career and expand his repertoire.

One Step Closer is the seventh release and fifth studio album of Colorado-based jam band, The String Cheese Incident. Released in June 2005, and containing thirteen original tracks with guest songwriting collaborations, the album was produced by Malcolm Burn at a studio in Boulder, Colorado. One Step Closer was a return to the more roots-based music of earlier String Cheese Incident fare, while still retaining some of the pop sensibility of previous studio albums. It was also the first album to feature new member Jason Hann.
A String Cheese Incident is the second release and first live album of Colorado-based Jam band, The String Cheese Incident. The album chronicles a single concert from the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado on February 27th, 1997 and is the first to feature pianist Kyle Hollingsworth as part of the group. Outside Inside is the fifth release and third studio album of Colorado-based Jam band, The String Cheese Incident. Released in 2001, this album marked a shift from the band's traditional bluegrass leanings to a more standard rock sound, thus making it the most accessible album to a mainstream audience to that point. The band did not completely abandon its bluegrass roots, however, sneaking in the short three-minute track "Up the Canyon" at the end of the disc, which has become one of many live favorites along with "Rollover," "Close Your Eyes," and others.
Untying the Not is the sixth release and fourth studio album of Colorado based jam band, The String Cheese Incident. UtN is indeed a strong deviation from their previous rock and bluegrass sounds and shows heavy influence from guest producer Martin Glover. Untying the Not is much darker than the band's previous lighthearted studio releases, full of minor keys and introspection on topics such as death, which are most clearly evidenced in the tracks "Elijah" and "Mountain Girl." It also shows significant evidence of the band's recent habit of introducing techno and trance elements into the mix, such as on the track entitled "Valley of the Jig", which is a successful fusion of techno and bluegrass stylings.
Keith Moseley is an American musician and songwriter, who plays bass guitar among other instruments for The String Cheese Incident, a jamband from Boulder, Colorado, of which he is a founding member.

Zilla is a livetronica band based in Boulder, CO. It consists of Jamie Janover, Michael Travis and Aaron Holstein. The group began as a side project for Travis in his time away from the more popular String Cheese Incident. However, since SCI's hiatus in 2007 Zilla and EOTO have become Travis' main projects. The band's shows are 100% improvised, as are their two studio recordings.
Electric Forest is a four-day, one-weekend, multi-genre event with a focus on electronic and jam band genres, held in Rothbury, Michigan, at the Double JJ Resort. In 2017 and 2018, the festival expanded to two weekends back to back, before switching back to one weekend for 2019. The original event debuted in 2008 under the name Rothbury Festival, and focused on jam bands and rock bands. The event was not held in 2010 nor 2020; the COVID-19 pandemic was to blame for the latter. Electric Forest, which began in 2011, is co-produced by Madison House Presents and Insomniac Events. The 2015 event drew an estimated 45,000 attendees.

Scott Law is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his work with guitar and mandolin. Based in Portland, Oregon, he has been a professional musician since 1992, performing within genres such as rock, blues, bluegrass, and Americana with groups such as The String Cheese Incident. In 1999 Law founded Scott Law Music. After performing with numerous bands, Law released his first solo album as a singer-songwriter, Deliver with the Scott Law Band, in 2005. This was followed by several other albums, including the acoustic album Black Mountain in 2013.
