Bowen-Jordan Farm is a historic home located near Siler City, Chatham County, North Carolina. It was built about 1825, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Federal style frame dwelling. It has a steeply pitched gable roof and massive single stepped shoulder end chimneys. The house was expanded by mid- and late-19th century additions and enclosures. Also on the property are the contributing kitchen / slave cabin and smokehouse. [2]

Siler City is a town in western Chatham County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town's population was 7,887. The population of the small town has increased by 75% from 1990 to 2018. The population was estimated to be 8,205 in 2018.
Mebane is a city located mostly in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States, and partly in Orange County, North Carolina. The town was named for Alexander Mebane, an American Revolutionary War general and member of the U.S. Congress. It was incorporated as "Mebanesville" in 1881, and in 1883 the name was changed to "Mebane". It was incorporated as a city in 1987. The population as of the 2010 census was 11,393. Mebane is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in North Carolina. Mebane straddles the Research Triangle and Piedmont Triad Regions of North Carolina. The bulk of the city is in Alamance County, which comprises the Burlington Metropolitan Statistical Area, itself a component of the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point Combined Statistical Area. Two slivers in the eastern portion of the city are in Orange County, which is part of the Durham-Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Area, itself a component of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Combined Statistical Area.
Falls Lake State Recreation Area is a North Carolina state park in Durham and Wake Counties, North Carolina in the United States. Near Wake Forest, North Carolina, it covers 5,035 acres (20.38 km2) along the shores of 12,410-acre (50.2 km2) Falls Lake.
Horne Creek Farm is a historical farm near Pinnacle, Surry County, North Carolina. The farm is a North Carolina State Historic Site that belongs to the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, and it is operated to depict farm life in the northwest Piedmont area c. 1900. The historic site includes the late 19th century Hauser Farmhouse, which has been furnished to reflect the 1900-1910 era, along with other supporting structures. The farm raised animal breeds that were common in the early 20th century. The site also includes the Southern Heritage Apple Orchard, which preserves about 800 trees of about 400 heritage apple varieties. A visitor center includes exhibits, a gift shop and offices.
Bennett Place is a former farm and homestead in Durham, North Carolina, which was the site of the last surrender of a major Confederate army in the American Civil War, when Joseph E. Johnston surrendered to William T. Sherman. The first meeting saw Sherman agreeing to certain political demands by the Confederates, which were promptly rejected by the Union cabinet in Washington. Another meeting had to be held to agree on military terms only, in line with Robert E. Lee’s recent surrender to Ulysses S. Grant. This effectively ended the war.

The main house was built about 1893, and is a large two-story Late Victorian / Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It has a two-story rear all. It features a nearly-full-facade, full-height two-tiered entry porch. Also on the property are the contributing wellhouse, flower house, blacksmith's shop, and caretaker's cottage.
Isabelle Bowen Henderson House and Gardens is a historic home and garden and national historic district located at Raleigh, North Carolina. The main house is a modest 19th century turreted late Victorian period frame cottage, with a Colonial Revival style studio wing and kitchen and dining porch added in 1937. Also on the property is a contributing two car garage and apartment building, herb house, front garden (1937-1938), back garden, herb garden, and brick terrace (1937-1938). It was the home of noted local artist Isabelle Bowen Henderson and representative of the Williamsburg Revival design movement in Raleigh.
