Brand of Sacrifice is a Canadian deathcore band from Toronto formed in 2018. The band was inspired by the work of manga artist Kentaro Miura, specifically his Berserk series and has based much of their music on his works. [2]

Contents

Founded in 2018, they released their debut EP the same year, titled "The Interstice". The following year, they released their first album, God Hand. [3] In 2021, they independently released their sophomore studio album Lifeblood, which was met with positive reception. [4] [5] Later that year, they collaborated with Lorna Shore vocalist Will Ramos on a re-release of their song "Lifeblood". [6] The band released their second EP, "Between Death and Dreams", in April 2023 which contains four songs. [7] [8] [9]

Demon Lord Dante is a manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The series tells the story of Ryo Utsugi, a student who finds himself in the body of an ancient demon known as Dante and sees himself in the middle of a conflict between God and the devils. Nagai's main influence to create the work was Gustave Doré's illustrations of Dante's Divine Comedy. The series challenged the traditional view of God as good and Devil as bad and was created to provoke the critics of his previous works.

The band is most known for their 2021 single "To the Hellfire". They have released four studio albums Psalms (2015), Flesh Coffin (2017), Immortal (2020), and Pain Remains (2022). Devilman is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The manga focuses on a high school student named Akira Fudo who absorbs the powers of the demon called "Amon" with help of his friend Ryo Asuka in order to battle creatures hidden in human society, thus calling himself the "Devilman" in the process. The series was originally ordered by Toei Animation as a toned-down anime version of Nagai's previous manga series, Demon Lord Dante. However, Nagai wrote a darker-toned manga in order to alert readers of the dangers of the wars based on how dark the narrative becomes with each of Akira's challenges.

Immortal is the third studio album by American deathcore band Lorna Shore. It was released on January 31, 2020 through Century Media Records and was produced by Josh Schroeder. The album is the band's first studio release with the label. It is also their first studio release to not feature founding vocalist Tom Barber, who left the band to join Chelsea Grin. It is the band's only studio album to feature vocalist CJ McCreery, who joined the band in 2018 and was fired in December 2019, a month before the album's release date. In addition to the 2017 departure of bassist Gary Herrera, this marks the band's first studio album to feature no founding members.

Darkbloom is the sixth studio album by American metalcore band We Came as Romans. It was released on October 14, 2022, and is their first album in five years. This is the band's first album without clean vocalist/keyboardist Kyle Pavone, after his death from an accidental drug overdose in August 2018. The band chose not to replace Pavone out of respect for his memory; instead, they used synths written by producer Drew Fulk and recorded by Pavone before his death, and unclean vocalist Dave Stephens, who had occasionally performed clean vocals alongside Pavone, took over on clean vocals full-time.

The band consists of vocalist Taylor Barber, bassist Christian Nowatzki, guitarists Peter Higgs and Jacob Gordon, and drummer Alex Vavra. Left to Suffer released their debut album, A Year of Suffering, in 2020. In 2023, they released Feral, their second full-length album.
