Real-Life Cinderella: The Story of Brandy is a look at actress/singer Brandy Norwood and her rise to fame, including her time on the long-running UPN show Moesha . [1] As well as chronicling her career, the book offers a look at the television and music industries.
The reader is given a sense of what was faced by young stars trying to come up in the mid-1990s. The author explores the hard work that went into marketing Brandy; what worked for her, and how she (and others) pulled it off. Glimpses are given of Brandy's early love life; crushes, and parental intervention. The book has lists at the end, including a discography, a list of Brandy's TV and film credits, and a list of awards bestowed upon her.
Brandy: An Intimate Look is a look at Brandy, as shared by a personal friend of hers. It is a collection of facts and personal insight, and includes a look at Brandy's family. Each chapter explores an aspect of the life and career of Norwood.
The book has colour photographs of Brandy, and a collection of quotes from her.

In 1999, Mattel released the Brandy Doll. The first doll featured Brandy in a reddish brown blouse with an orange Mongolian faux fur scarf around the collar. The bottom half includes a long orange skirt with a pair of gold and orange Pedal pushers pants with gold wedge pumps. This doll also comes with a microphone, and a gold platform for brandy. An Autographed poster copy is included. Because of the success of this doll, a second doll "Super Star Brandy" was released. This doll featured Brandy In a colorful African abstract patterned spaghetti strap top with a neon green jacket and chunky platform heals to match, with purple faux leather pants. On the back of the "Super Star Brandy" doll box in the bottom left hand corner features a sneak peek of all Mattel brandy doll designs including a "Coming Soon" tag under the Singing Holiday Brandy Doll released in 2000. Two more dolls followed, including another "Super Star Brandy" in 2000 and a Stylin' Hair Brandy Doll also released in 2000. This doll also includes an autographed poster copy. Mattel has two unreleased Brandy dolls, Brandy as Cinderella from the ABC's Wonderful World of Disney TV movie Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and a Final "Super Star Brandy" with a gold microphone. Millions of the dolls were distributed and sold from (1999-2003) they were one of the biggest selling toys for Mattel.

Big Jim was a line of action figure toys produced from 1972 through 1986 by Mattel for the North American and European markets. He was renamed Kid Acero in Latin America and, for a short period of time, Mark Strong in Europe. Originally inspired by G.I. Joe, the Big Jim line was smaller in size and each figure included a push button in the back that made the character execute a karate chop action. The action figure's arms were made of a soft plastic/vinyl material and contained a mechanism that simulated the bulge of a biceps when the elbow was bent. Big Jim was less military-oriented than the G.I. Joe line, having more of a secret agent motif, but also had a large variety of outfits and situations available including sports, space exploration, martial arts, hunting, western, camping, fishing, and photography.

The doll's extra-long hair reached all the way to her toes and at the time, she had the longest hair ever for a Barbie doll at 11.5 inches in length. What's Her Face was a line of customizable dolls that straddled the line between traditional fashion dolls and creative activity toys. Made by Mattel, the line ran from 2001–2003, and enjoyed only a modest success in a market dominated by Mattel's iconic Barbie and MGA Entertainment's Bratz dolls. My Scene is an American series of fashion dolls that Mattel released in 2002. They were discontinued in the US in 2008, and worldwide in 2011. Mattel's Barbie character is one of the dolls in the toy line. The My Scene dolls' bodies are slim, similar to earlier Barbie dolls, but their heads are larger. The New York Times described their features as "exaggerated lips and bulging, makeup-caked eyes." My Scene were designed to appeal to the tween market and compete with the Bratz dolls from MGA Entertainment.

Francie Fairchild is a fashion doll issued by Mattel from 1966 to 1976 and re-introduced in 2011. Marketed as "Barbie's MODern cousin" from England, the doll had an extensive line of "mod"-style clothing, often employing bright colors and geometric patterns similar to fashions associated with Carnaby Street in the late 1960s to early 1970s. At 11¼ inches tall, the Francie doll was shorter than Barbie, but taller than Skipper, making the character presumably between the two in age.

The Marvelous World of Shani, also known as Shani & Friends or simply Shani, was a fashion doll line manufactured by the American toy company Mattel, Inc. and launched in 1991. The principal designer of the dolls was longtime Mattel toy designer Kitty Black Perkins, also responsible for designing 1980's First Black Barbie doll, and many other African American dolls in the Barbie line.
