Break Down is the debut Korean solo mini album of Kim Hyun-joong of South Korean boy band SS501. It was released on 7 June 2011 under KeyEast Entertainment. [1] A Limited Edition was released on 23 June 2011, with a bonus DVD with music videos and behind-the-scene footages. [2] The album was released in Taiwan by Warner Music Taiwan in two versions: Regular and Commemorate Editions.
Kim's songs were produced by Steven Lee, who had composed SS501's hits "Love Like This" and "Love Ya". [3] The title track "Break Down" is a high energy dance track featuring Double K. Another track, "Please" is a R&B heavy second lead track.
For the album, Kim promoted the high tempo dance lead track "Break Down" featuring Double K, the R&B track "제발 (Please)" and the light tempo pop song "Kiss Kiss". He had also released music videos for these three songs.
The album exceeded 70,000 pre-ordered copies in 10 days. [4] It peaked at number one on Gaon Weekly Album Chart for the week starting 5 June 2011 [5] and was the best-selling album for June on Gaon Monthly Album Chart with 100,433 sales. It also topped the Oricon chart in Japan in the International Imported Album category for the first week of July. [6]
The album's title track "Break Down" was the first-place winner for two consecutive weeks on Mnet's M Countdown music show, for 16 and 23 June 2011; and also won for two consecutive weeks on KBS's Music Bank. [7]
It is also certified platinum in Taiwan and Kim was presented with a platinum record by Warner Music Taiwan CEO Chen Ze Shan in a press conference held in Taiwan. [8]

SS501 is a South Korean boy band consisting of five members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong, Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun. They debuted in 2005 with the EP Warning, which included their first number one song, "Never Again".
Kim Hyun-joong is a South Korean actor, singer and songwriter. He is a member of the boy band SS501 and played roles in the Korean dramas Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss.
Lee Ji-eun, also known by her stage name IU (아이유), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, composer, and actress. She signed with LOEN Entertainment in 2007 as a trainee and debuted as a singer at the age of fifteen with her first extended play (EP) Lost and Found (2008). Although her follow-up albums, Growing Up and IU...IM, brought mainstream success, it was only after the release of "Good Day", the lead single from her 2010 album Real, that she achieved national stardom. "Good Day" went on to spend five consecutive weeks at the top of South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart, and in 2019, it was ranked number one on Billboard's "100 Greatest K-Pop Songs of the 2010s" list.
Oh! is the second studio album by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation, released by SM Entertainment on January 28, 2010. It features the single "Oh!". A repackaged version, Run Devil Run was released on March 17, 2010, with the song "Run Devil Run" serving as the follow-up single.
Bonamana is the fourth studio album by South Korean boy band Super Junior. It is the first album with ten out of the original 13 members to take part, also marking the first album not to feature all active members. It was first released as Version A, on May 13, 2010, by SM Entertainment. Mr. Simple is the fifth studio album by the South Korean boy band Super Junior. It was released on 3 August 2011, by SM Entertainment, distributed by KMP Holdings and digitally release on 2 August. On 19 September 2011, a repackaged edition was released, re-titled A-Cha. It features four new tracks including title track "A-Cha" and "Superman" which was previously released in version B only. This is the group's second album that features ten of the original 13 members and the first being their previous album, Bonamana (2010).

Not Alone is the debut Korean solo single of Park Jung-min of South Korean boy band SS501. It was released on 20 January 2011 by CNr Media and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. The single album was originally planned to be released on 25 November 2010, but due to the rising tensions between South Korea and North Korea, Park and his company decided to push back his album release and promotions to the beginning of 2011.

The album was released in Taiwan by Warner Music Taiwan on August 17, 2012, with a bonus DVD.
During 2005–2010, Kim has had two solo songs from SS501 albums: "Rize Up" from Kokoro, and "Please Be Nice To Me" from SS501 Solo Collection. In 2008, he released "Thank You" digital single, a theme song from We Got Married and was also included in SS501 mini album Find. In 2009, he contributed two soundtracks from Boys Over Flowers including the acoustic version of "Because I'm Stupid"" and "A Thing Called Happiness". He, then released a DVD entitled Goodbye Yoon Ji-hoo, marking the end of his character role in Boys Over Flowers, and coming back as the leader of SS501. In 2010, he contributed "One More Time" from his drama Playful Kiss.
Destination is South Korean boy band SS501's eight Korean mini-album released on May 24, 2010 by DSP Media. This was also their last mini-album before their contract's expiration.
