Brendan Gerard Drew (born 16 December 1983) is an Australian cricketer,who played domestic cricket for the Tasmanian Tigers. When not on Tasmanian duty,Drew played Tasmanian club cricket for the Lindisfarne Cricket Club. A tall bowler who generates a lot of pace and bounce,Drew arrived in Tasmania mid-season in 2005 to fill in for a bowling attack struck by injury. He had a solid 2006 season,taking 20 Pura Cup wickets at 31.60 in six matches,and was 12th man in the Tasmania's historic first ever Pura Cup win in 2006–07. Drew later moved to Victoria and played premier cricket for Camberwell,and won the Jack Ryder Medal as Premier Cricket's best player in 2016–17. [1]
Bellerive Oval is a cricket and an Australian rules football ground located in Bellerive,a suburb on the eastern shore of Hobart,Australia. Holding 20,000 people,it is the largest capacity stadium in Tasmania. It is the only venue in Tasmania which hosts international cricket matches.
The Tasmania men's cricket team,nicknamed the Tigers,represents the Australian state of Tasmania in cricket. They compete annually in the Australian domestic senior men's cricket season,which consists of the first-class Sheffield Shield and the limited overs Matador BBQs One-Day Cup.
Michael James Di Venuto is an Australian cricket coach and former first-class cricketer who represented both Australia and Italy. The bulk of his first-class cricket career was spent playing for Tasmanian Tigers. After retiring from representative cricket in Australia,he continued playing for Durham County Cricket Club till July 2012,when he announced retirement from County Cricket. He has also previously played cricket in England for Derbyshire and Sussex. A left hand opening batsman,his form for Tasmania throughout the mid-1990s earned him a call up for the Australian national cricket team in the One Day International arena,although after nine games he was dropped. Like some of his contemporary Tasmanian teammates such as Jamie Cox,Dene Hills,and Shaun Young,Di Venuto can be considered unlucky to have not had a more successful international career,as he was playing at a time when the Australian national cricket team was highly dominant,and difficult to earn selection for. After retiring from Durham,he was appointed Australia's full-time batting coach by head coach Mickey Arthur,and was then head coach of Surrey from 2016 until 2020.

Damien Geoffrey Wright is an Australian cricket coach and former first-class cricketer who coached Hobart Hurricanes cricket team. Wright made his debut for Tasmania in 1997,playing with the team until switching to Victoria for the 2008–09 season. In 2002 he played in the Scottish cricket team as their one permitted overseas player—he also had previous spells in county cricket with Northamptonshire,Glamorgan and Somerset. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler. He has a side-on bowling action and an ability to bounce the ball sharply. Wright started Coaching the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League 03 in 2013–14,he coached the team to defeat the Melbourne Stars,who were undefeated in the tournament until then. The Hurricanes then lost the final to the Perth Scorchers. Wright then coached the Hurricanes to the semi-finals in the Champions League T20 2014 in India.

Timothy David Paine is an Australian former cricketer and a former captain of the Australia national cricket team in Test cricket. A right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper,he played for the Tasmanian Tigers in Australian domestic cricket and was the captain of the Hobart Hurricanes before his selection for Australia in the 2017–18 Ashes series. During his time with Australia,Paine won the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy.
Benjamin William Hilfenhaus is an Australian former professional cricketer who played for Tasmania in Australian domestic cricket and for the Australia national cricket team. He is right-arm fast-medium bowler known for his ability to swing the ball. Hilfenhaus plays club cricket for Tasmania University Cricket Club. He made his first-class cricket debut in the 2005/06 season and his haul of 39 wickets was a record for someone playing their first season for Tasmania. Before he was given a full-time contract for 2006/07,he worked as a bricklayer as well as playing cricket. He has best bowling figures of 7/58 in first-class cricket,achieved in his first season for Tasmania. During his time with Australia,Hilfenhaus won the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy.
Daniel James Marsh is a former Australian cricketer who captained the Tasmanian Tigers. The son of former late Australian keeper Rod Marsh,he was a right-handed batsman and a handy slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He played for the South Australia early on in his career and played County Cricket for Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
