Brett Brochu (born September 9, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Brett Brochu was born in Belle River, Ontario on September 9, 2002, [1] and spent his youth playing hockey. [2]
Brochu played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. [3] In 2020 he was awarded the F. W. "Dinty" Moore Trophy. [4] [5]
During the 2020–21 season, when the OHL season was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Brochu played for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. [6]
Entering the 2023–24 season, Brochu signed with the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL. [7] He made 20 appearances with the Komets, collecting 7 wins and posting a .920 save percentage, he was loaned to the AHL on two separate occasions to the Cleveland Monsters and Manitoba Moose, featuring with the Moose in relief during 1 game.
As a free agent, Brochu secured a one-year AHL contract with the Bakersfield Condors, affiliate to the Edmonton Oilers, on August 1, 2024. [8]

Brochu played for Team Canada at the 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. [9] After winning the starting job for the national team over two other netminders, he made twenty saves against twenty-two shots in his debut game, as Canada won 11–2 over Team Austria. [10] The tournament was cancelled during the group stage on December 29, 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but Brochu returned to the Canadian team when a replacement tournament was held in August 2022. Ronald Frederick Bradley Tugnutt is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Tugnutt played several seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Quebec Nordiques, Edmonton Oilers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Dallas Stars. While a member of the Nordiques on March 21, 1991, Tugnutt set a modern-day NHL record for most saves in a regular-season game when he stopped 70 of 73 shots in a 3–3 tie with the Boston Bruins.
Alexander James Auld is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Auld played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Phoenix Coyotes, Boston Bruins, Ottawa Senators, Dallas Stars, New York Rangers and the Montreal Canadiens. Richard St. Croix is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played 131 games in the National Hockey League with the Philadelphia Flyers and Toronto Maple Leafs between 1978 and 1985. After his playing career he worked as an assistant coach for the Maple Leafs.
