Brian Christine (born December 1963) [1] is an American urologist [2] and a four-star admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps,who serves as the 18th assistant secretary for health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) since November 2025. [3] In this role,he provides leadership on the nation's public health priorities,including chronic disease prevention and efforts to strengthen the nation's overall health. [3] Christine also concurrently serves as the head of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps,one of the nation's eight uniformed services. [3]
Christine earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University [2] and completed his residency in Urology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. [2] Following residency,Christine joined the Urology Centers of Alabama. [4] [5]
