Brian Labrie (born c. 1973) is an American politician, entrepreneur, and former world record holder in punkin' chunkin'. A Republican, he has served as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from Hillsborough District 2 (representing Bedford) since December 2024. In 2025, he was appointed Assistant Majority Leader in the House Republican Caucus, recognized for his consensus-building skills and pro-business advocacy.
Labrie is a prominent small business owner in southern New Hampshire, employing dozens of residents through multiple companies. He is also a leading advocate for outdoor recreation and conservation, serving as President of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association.
Brian Labrie was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, and raised in a family emphasizing hard work and community service. He graduated from Bishop Guertin High School in 1992. He founded B.H. Labrie Landscape Co., Inc. in Merrimack, New Hampshire, over 34 years ago. The company provides full-service landscaping, irrigation, hardscape and softscape design-build services, maintenance, and construction. Known for high-quality work and customer satisfaction, it has grown into a leading provider in southern New Hampshire.
Labrie also owns Drop One Portables Inc., offering portable sanitation solutions, and related entities including B.H. Labrie Winter Services Corp and real estate investment firms such as BHL Real Estate Holdings & Acquisitions LLC. His businesses collectively employ more than 40 New Hampshire residents, contributing significantly to the local economy. Punkin' chunkin and media appearances: Labrie gained national recognition as captain of Team American Chunker, designing and building a state-of-the-art pneumatic air cannon valued at approximately $180,000. In 2013, his team set the world record for the longest pumpkin launch at the World Championship Punkin Chunkin in Bridgeville, Delaware, achieving a distance of 4,694.68 feet (over 0.89 miles)—a record that still stands in the official WCPCA adult air cannon category. Over nearly a decade, Labrie appeared as a featured personality on the Discovery Channel and Science Channel, including specials on Punkin' Chunkin', Mythbusters and related engineering challenges.
