The Montreal Alouettes are a professional Canadian football team based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1946, the team has folded and been revived twice. The Alouettes compete in the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and last won the Grey Cup championship in 2010. Their home field is Percival Molson Memorial Stadium for the regular season and as of 2014 also home of their playoff games.

Chip Cox is an American former professional Canadian football linebacker He most recently played for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL), where he spent 13 years of his career. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion, winning in 2009 and 2010, and winner of the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award in 2013. He is also a six-time CFL Divisional All-Star and three-time CFL All-Star. He holds three CFL records, including most career fumble return yards (392), most career fumble return touchdowns (6), and the record for longest fumble return. Cox also holds several Alouettes records including most career tackles (979), most single season defensive tackles, and most defensive tackles in a single game. He played college football for the Ohio Bobcats.
Ben Cahoon is a former professional Canadian football slotback who spent his entire career with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. He won the award for the Most Outstanding Canadian in the CFL two years in a row in 2002 and 2003.

Nikolas "Nik" Lewis is the receivers coach for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and he is a former professional Canadian football slotback who played for 15 years in the CFL. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion, winning in 2008 and 2014 with the Stampeders. In his first season, he won the CFL Rookie of the Year award, followed by five West Division All-Star and three CFL All-Star awards. He is second all-time as a Stampeder in receptions (805), receiving yards (11,250), and touchdown catches (65) behind Allen Pitts. He also has the club record for consecutive games with a reception, with 166. On August 24, 2017, Lewis became the CFL all-time leader in receptions with 1,030 catches.
Brian Bratton is a former Canadian football wide receiver who is currently a football coach at Indianapolis Colts. He most recently played for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. Having played with the Alouettes since 2007, he is a two-time Grey Cup champion, after winning in 2009 and 2010. He played college football for the Furman Paladins from 2002 to 2005.

Solomon H. Green III is a former American football wide receiver. He was signed by the Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes through the negotiation list process in 2007 and played with the Alouettes for 10 seasons before spending the next three seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. Green was previously a member of the New York Jets (NFL). Green played college football at South Florida.
Trevor Harris is an American professional Canadian football quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Harris has also played in the Arena Football League and United Football League. He played college football at Edinboro University. As Edinboro's starting quarterback, he broke "every career passing record in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference" and was a two-time finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy, awarded each year to the individual selected as the most valuable player in NCAA Division II.
Jonathan "Bear" Woods is a former professional Canadian football linebacker of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was originally signed by the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He made his professional debut for the Montreal Alouettes (CFL) in 2013 and won a Grey Cup championship with the Toronto Argonauts in 2017. He played college football at Troy University. In January 2022, he was named head football coach at Wetumpka High School in Wetumpka, Alabama.
Jeff Hecht is a former Canadian football defensive back. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent on May 26, 2011 by the Montreal Alouettes following the 2011 CFL Draft. He played CIS Football with the Saint Mary's Huskies.
Doug Smith was a Canadian radio sportscaster who covered the Montreal Maroons and then Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League in the 1930s and '40s, and later the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, and golf. Smith was born in Calgary but moved to Montreal in 1944 from Trail, British Columbia where he started his career. In 1946, he covered the Brier's first ever radio broadcast on CBC Radio. Smith switched to calling football full-time in 1952 from hockey after a minor heart attack, and was replaced by Danny Gallivan. He also organized international golf matches, including the World Golfer of the Year in 1965. He later moved to Florida, but returned to broadcast Alouettes games in 1973. Smith died in 1979 after a long illness in hospital in Montreal. He received the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award and induction into the media section of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1985. In 1983, he was named to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
